Prayer Meeting Thursday Night
Prayer meeting on Thursday night, May 28th, will be led by Mrs. Pat Bateman. Join us to hear what God has laid on Pat’s heart for us. We always come away blessed on Thursday nights. After the devotions, we will be going over the prayer concerns. Prayer meeting starts at 7:00 P.M. in the sanctuary.

We would like to thank everyone who came and supported Mindy and Allen (Peanut) Sykes in dedicating their infant son, Beckim, to the Lord. The service was great with a large number attending. Rev. Stephen Duncan, a former pastor, did a great job. Your presence was appreciated. To all the cooks, the food was scrumptious and delicious. There was plenty for everyone. Again, thank you for making Sunday, May 24th, so special and memorable for Mindy and Peanut Sykes.

BABY DEDICATION. BABY DEDICATION
Sunday, May 24th, we will be having the dedication o Beckim Ray Sykes, infant son of Mindy and Allen (better known as Peanut) Sykes. The dedication and morning message at 11:00 A.M. will be brought by Rev. Stephen Duncan, Pastor of Webbs Chapel Baptist Church and former Pastor of Sound Side Missionary Baptist Church. After the morning message, a covered dish lunch will be served in the fellowship for everyone. Please join us for this joyous occasion.

Last night when I went in for prayer meeting, there lay this cross solar light stake with my name on it with a note that said, “ From your secret friend.” I want to thank that person for such a thoughtful act. Tonight, it shines in my yard. It reminds me that Christ died for my and everyone else’s sins. Thank you again for reminding me of Christ’s love.

Sunday, May 17th, we will be honoring our 2026 graduates during the worship service. This year we have 2 graduates: Sam Clough graduating from North Carolina State University; and Darci Boucher graduating from Boucher Academy. DIAMOND RING FOUND THIS MORNING

Before Sunday school this morning, a ladies diamond ring was found in the ladies bathroom. From last Sunday with the John Kirkman baby dedication until this morning, if you lost your ring, please call Dr. Allen Brickhouse at 252-796-5727 to claim the ring. We want to return the ring to the rightful owner. It could belong to someone who stopped to use the bathroom during the week. It could belong to someone visiting the cemetery and had to use the bathroom. If it is your ring, we know you are missing a keepsake.

Thanks everyone for a wonderful time we had this morning at the dedication of John Kirkman, son of Sandie and Patrick Kirkman. After the dedication and morning message, a covered dish lunch was served in the fellowship hall. What a meal! All types of food and desserts. There was plenty of food. Everyone had a great time. Thank you for everyone’s participation. May little John Kirkman’s life be a blessed one, and may he be used by the Lord as the lord sees fit.
