May 17, 10:45 a.m. -- Sunday Morning Worship

This Sunday we conclude our Disciples on the Road Easter season worship series with two stories from two prisons (Acts 12:6-18, Acts 16:23-40). We’ve already met the risen Christ as stranger, voice, light and healer as we’ve traveled here and there these past weeks. Now we meet Christ as deliverer in two final stories about a power that can even liberate the captives. We’ll also have one more worship response, reflecting on what binds us today and what sets us free.

After the Children's Message, kids will be invited to the Children's Sanctuary for their own Bible lesson.

Yesterday a talented crew from RBCC spent their Mother's Day serving at Columbia's Loaves and Fishes ministry. Huge thanks to everyone for spending your time ensuring that all our local friends have enough to eat.

Reminder: Bike to Church Sunday this week.

Our annual Bike to Church Sunday (or bring your bicycle to church Sunday) is on May 10. Roll your bicycle right into the sanctuary for a blessing during worship that morning. If you’re not a bicyclist, bring hiking boots or walking shoes, a walker or a cane, whatever non-motorized things assist you in moving through the world.

Volunteer Opportunity: Loaves & Fishes

Our church will be cooking and serving the meal for the Loaves & Fishes soup kitchen on Sunday, May 10. We need volunteers to provide ingredients, cook the food and serve/clean-up that afternoon.

The Mid-America Disciples invite children and youth from Kindergarten - 12th Grade to participate in summer camp!

May 3, 10:45 a.m. -- Sunday Morning Worship

Last Sunday we traveled the road to Emmaus. This week we find ourselves on the road to Damascus as our Easter season “Disciples on the Road” worship series continues with the two conversion stories of Saul and Ananias (Acts 9:1-22). Their encounters with the risen Christ asked them to say yes to something new and also to leave something old behind. This week we also reflect on what the Spirit may be asking of us.

After the Children's Message, kids will be invited to the Children's Sanctuary for their own Bible lesson.
