Please be aware of The Passion Translation. It is not accurate and there are so many red flags about the “translator” Any translation should also have a team of scholars translating.

Bible teacher Mike Winger has issued a stark warning to Christians who use the YouVersion Bible app. In a recent post on X, Winger wrote, "Bye bye YouVersion.

People generally expect you to only host decent and safe Bible translations. At least that's what I expect. I'd recommend using caution if you still use the YouVersion Bible app."

The warning came as Winger announced a major exposé on The Passion Translation (TPT), revealing that creator Brian Simmons engaged in widespread plagiarism, fabricated credentials, and lied about translating from Aramaic.

Simmons claimed Jesus walked through his wall and commissioned him, and that an angel named "Passion" inspired the work.

He also teaches heretical doctrines, including that believers become "200% people" equal to Christ and are blended into the triune God.

A Change{.}org petition to remove TPT from YouVersion has gained thousands of signatures.

Winger urged Christians to avoid the translation, saying it is built on fraud and deception.
