A critical person (all of us at times) can easily tear others down, especially when something is incomplete. So much of this behavior hides behind religion and “Christian standards”. If you strip it down though beyond the facade, there’s something much darker going on. A force or pressure that makes you feel behind or unworthy. The writer Paul said “He who began a good will complete it.” Your life is no doubt incomplete in areas. You’re too short tempered, you fail at showing love, and you probably think poorly of yourself and others etc. You’re a mixed bag of opposing agendas and probably feel like a hot mess at times, let alone what God must think of you. But remember, that’s not the point of Christianity. It’s not intended to turn you into a “pretty little thing” but instead to awaken you into a life of peace and beauty with God. So take a breath and remember He’s not in a rush and you don’t have to be either.
