This summer, as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, we are excited to invite all children (K-8) to join in the Second Lady’s 2026 Summer Reading Challenge. Participants will read and track 12 books of their choice between June 1 and September 4. Every book counts!

We had such a great book 📕 club with Amy Stanley today. She read “The Little Seedling” to us. Then, she told us about “The Bookworm” series. Amy shared “insider” info about her next book and helped so we could become better writers. We had a great time using our imaginations to add on to some of her story starter ideas.

We enjoyed a delightful day with Traci Jo Calvert and her puppies Molly and Lucy. I will have her books available for purchase on Sunday after church for those who did not have the opportunity to buy any today. The books are insightful and humorous, teaching a valuable lesson.

Join us next Thursday in the Venue from 11-1 for our next reading group. We will talk with Author, Amy Stanley about how to write our own adventures. It is going to be so much fun!
