🐕 Many of us already know that our beloved Aloka the Peace Dog has a beautiful heart-shaped marking on his forehead—a natural symbol of love, compassion, and loving-kindness that has touched so many hearts.

Recently, some of our wonderful followers have shared with us an observation that warmed our hearts: they noticed that Aloka’s tail appears to form the shape of the letter “P”—as in Peace!

We were so touched by this observation. Loving-kindness and heart leading on his head, peace following with his tail. How beautiful is that?

Whether this is a meaningful sign or simply a sweet coincidence, we find it wonderfully fitting for the Peace Dog who has walked thousands of miles carrying this message alongside the venerable monks.

Loving-kindness leads. Peace follows. Aloka truly embodies everything this walk represents.

Thank you for sharing this observation with us. These are the kinds of beautiful details that make this journey even more special.

A Cute "Peace-Deer" 🦌🐾
It seems Aloka has a hidden talent for looking absolutely adorable while we travel! Yesterday, he looked so cute waiting patiently in his reindeer coat, staying perfectly still for the venerable monks.

We are excited to welcome the Walk for Peace monks into County of Lexington, SC.

For everyone’s safety, we have assigned deputies traveling along with the monks. Drivers should expect to see marked patrol cars as we slow traffic and create a visible safety buffer around the group.
