Today as we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. and his famous speech, “I have a dream,” I am inspired to dream a dream of a greater and better future myself.

I want to see a better world, and it is not something that is just going to happen. Not unless we have dreams and visions of how to accomplish making this world a better place. So as I sit here today, I am reminded of the words of Paul to his student Timothy in I Timothy 2:3-4 - “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

The truth - Christians should all have the same dream and vision as Paul. We should want to see the desires of God the Father come to fruitition. We should all desire for everyone to find the freedom that comes through the truth found in the Word of God and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

I think that we as Christians sometimes forget that the Church is just not for us believers. I believe we forget that the Church is a place of refuge for sinners, not a rest home for believers. I honestly believe we strive to forget that we are all called to be disciples of Jesus who share the good news with everyone.

My dream for a better world?

A world in which Christians strive to live like Christ everyday versus just Sundays.

A world in which Christians realize that we are to stand on the truth in God’s word, a truth that never changes, because it is the truth that can set us free.

A world in which Christians understand that the Great Commission was a command, and not just for missionaries, but all believers.

My dream for a better world?

That all who call on the name of Jesus as their Lord and Savior will make a difference in the world as we strive to lead everyone into the freedom they can only find through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, our Lord an Savior.

My dream?

The same as God’s … That all people be saved. That all people come to the knowledge of the truth found in the World of God.

"Embracing a Bondservant's Heart: Following in the Footsteps of the Faithful"

In the heart of conservative Christian values lies the profound concept of being a bondservant—a term deeply rooted in Biblical teachings. To understand the essence of a bondservant, we turn to the Scriptures, where the apostle Paul offers profound insights into this profound spiritual calling.

A bondservant, as described in the Bible, is someone who willingly chooses to devote themselves entirely to the service of their master. In the context of Christianity, this master is none other than Jesus Christ. Just as a bondservant willingly binds themselves to their master, making themselves a slave, Christians believe in the voluntary and wholehearted commitment to serving Jesus in every aspect of their lives.

Paul, in his letter to the Philippians, exemplifies this devotion, stating, "Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ." Here, Paul not only acknowledges his servitude but embraces it with joy and purpose. For Christians, adopting a bondservant mentality means recognizing the lordship of Jesus and willingly and humbly submitting to His will.

Why should believers, like Paul, aspire to be bondservants to Jesus? The answer lies in the profound love and sacrifice demonstrated by Christ on the cross. Accepting Jesus as a bondservant is an acknowledgment of His supreme authority, a commitment to following His teachings, and a response to the unmerited grace extended through His sacrifice.

In the conservative Christian perspective, becoming a bondservant to Jesus is not a form of servitude born out of fear, but rather a choice motivated by love and gratitude. It's a transformative journey of spiritual growth, where believers seek to align their lives with the principles and values laid out in the Scriptures.

As conservative Christians, we find inspiration in the words of Jesus himself, who said, "If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him" (John 12:26).

This principle underscores the belief that true freedom is found in willingly surrendering one's life to the guidance of Jesus, the ultimate Master and Savior.

In conclusion, the concept of being a bondservant in Christianity is a heartfelt response to the love and grace offered by Jesus Christ. It's a voluntary commitment to live a life that reflects the teachings of the Bible and a sincere desire to emulate the servanthood exemplified by the apostle Paul. By embracing the bondservant's heart, believers aim to deepen their relationship with Jesus and honor Him through a life dedicated to His service.

The truth, all followers of Jesus should submit to being a bondservant of Jesus just as Jesus was a bondservant to each of us.

"Standing Strong: A Christian Perspective on Supporting Israel"

In recent times, there have been discussions about potential changes in America's support for Israel. As Christians, it's essential to examine this situation through the lens of our faith and the guidance provided by Scripture.

The Bible teaches us about the significance of standing with Israel. In Genesis 12:3, God promises blessings to those who bless Abraham and his descendants. As believers, we see Israel as a key part of God's plan, and supporting them aligns with our commitment to following His Word.

Throughout history, the United States has been a strong ally to Israel, reflecting shared values and a commitment to democracy. However, the possibility of a shift in this support raises concerns for those who view it through a Christian worldview.

From a biblical standpoint, standing by Israel is not just a political decision but a spiritual one. Psalm 122:6 urges us to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem," highlighting the importance of actively supporting the well-being of the nation.

While geopolitical considerations may come into play, Christians are reminded by Romans 15:27 to assist others spiritually when they have benefited from their material blessings. In this context, continuing to support Israel is seen as an opportunity to fulfill our Christian duty.

It's crucial for believers to engage in prayer and informed discussions, seeking understanding and discernment. By aligning our perspectives with biblical principles, we can advocate for a stance that reflects the Christian commitment to standing with Israel in these uncertain times.

What is the cause of the war in Gaza?

There are many perspectives? Many assumptions. Is it over land? Over differing of opinions? Over something else completely.

The truth: The cause of the war is what happened in Genesis between Abraham’s descendants and it will not end until Jesus comes back to reign!

Standing with Israel through Prayer: A Christian Perspective

In a world marked by turmoil and division, many conservative Christians hold a deep commitment to supporting the nation of Israel. For these believers, this support often takes the form of prayer and peaceful advocacy, as opposed to participating in protests that may involve property damage, as witnessed in Washington, D.C. yesterday. Let us explore why this approach is aligned with the principles of conservative Christian worldview.

1. Biblical Foundations:
Christian support for Israel is deeply rooted in the Bible, where the land of Israel is seen as a promised land to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. As stated in Genesis 12:3, God promises to bless those who bless Israel. Conservative Christians, therefore, see prayer as a way to fulfill this biblical mandate.

2. Pursuit of Peace:
The teachings of Jesus Christ emphasize the pursuit of peace and reconciliation. Praying for peace in the Middle East and advocating for diplomatic solutions align with Christian values. Destructive protests can often undermine the pursuit of peace, making prayer a more constructive means of support.

3. Respect for Property and Authority:
Conservative Christian values often include respect for property rights and authority. Engaging in protests that result in property damage can be seen as incompatible with these values. Instead, Christians are encouraged to respect and obey the laws of the land.

4. Unity and Compassion:
Christianity calls for unity and compassion, and advocating for Israel through prayer fosters a sense of unity among believers and compassion for the complex challenges facing the region. It encourages Christians to empathize with the suffering and aspirations of both Israelis and Palestinians.

5. Impact of Prayer:
Christians believe in the power of prayer to effect change. Through prayer, they can seek divine intervention in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, asking for wisdom for world leaders, protection for those in harm’s way, and the promotion of justice and peace.

In conclusion, while expressing support for Israel is a significant aspect of the conservative Christian worldview, the preference is for peaceful means of advocacy, such as prayer and constructive dialogue not what was witnessed on the streets of our capital yesterday. These methods align with Christian values of love, peace, and respect for property and authority. Rather than engaging in protests that may involve property damage, conservative Christians believe that prayer can be a more effective and faithful way to stand with Israel and address the complex issues in the Middle East.
