Your words are never just words. Jesus said a tree is known by its fruit, and what comes out of your mouth is telling you what kind of tree it grew on.

This Sunday Nathan Shedd taught from Matthew 12 on what it takes to have faithful words. Removing the rotten ones. Restraining the reactionary ones. Feeding the source instead of just fighting the symptom.

Join us tomorrow at 10:00 AM, 7201 S Olivet Rd. Hot coffee and tea are in the back. Come as you are.

Can't make it in person? We stream the service live right here on this page every Sunday morning, so you can join us from wherever you are.

Your mouth speaks what your heart is full of. Learn to talk like Jesus: remove rotten words, restrain reactionary words, and rebuild instead of ruin.

Nobody in that boat rode it out alone.

That's the part we skip. We white-knuckle our storms in private and call it strength.

Let's be a church that does life together — and faces the storms together. ⚓

If you're carrying something heavy right now, you don't have to carry it by yourself. Come sit with us Sunday at 10 AM, 7201 Olivet Rd. No one will ask you to have it figured out.

Honest question: are we after comfort, or are we after Christlikeness?

Because if the goal is comfort, then every storm is a failure and every hard season is God not showing up.

But Jesus' own life wasn't sunshine and rainbows. He was rejected. He suffered. And that's the life we said we wanted to be shaped into.

The storm isn't the interruption to the growth. Sometimes it's the whole thing. 🌱

We make evangelism harder than it is. We think about where we want the person to end up and assume we have to get them there in a single conversation.

Jesus didn't do that. He said, "Come and see." Philip said the same thing to Nathanael. It's an invitation, not a closing argument.

What if one simple invitation could have an eternal impact? 🙌

Jesus was intentional about inviting people to come, see, follow, and experience life with Him. And He calls us to do the same with the people God has placed around us.

Join us LIVE on Facebook today as we discover how to extend invitations with eternal impact—by turning interests into intersections, contacts into connections, relationships into responses, and the invited into inviters.

You never know what God may do through one conversation, one relationship, or one simple invitation. There is still room at the table, and there are still people who need to hear, “Come and see.” ❤️

Most of us get this backwards.
We treat grace like a paycheck — something we earn after we've obeyed well enough, long enough.
It isn't the reward at the end of your obedience. It's the reason you can obey at all.
Flip that order and everything changes.

Read that again: Jesus is not ashamed of you.
Not the version of you that has it together. Not the you that finally got the habit under control. You — as you are, today.
That's not permission to stay there. It's the reason you can actually move.
Save this one for the next hard morning. 🤍

Guilt and shame are not the same thing — and confusing them will keep you stuck.
Guilt says: I did something wrong.
Shame says: there is something wrong with me.
One of those can be dealt with at the cross. The other one is a lie you've been carrying for years.
Macky breaks down the difference — and why it matters for how you come to God.

What does Jesus teach us about dealing with sin and shame?

Shame tells us to hide. Guilt reminds us something needs to change. But when we look to Jesus, we see that our worst moment does not have to define our future.

In this message, “Watch & Learn: Considering Jesus When Dealing With Sin & Shame,” Macky Shedd walks through what it looks like to confess our condition, refuse reproach, trust what Jesus has done for us, and pursue the purpose He gives us.

If you’ve ever wrestled with regret, guilt, shame, or feeling like your past disqualifies you, we hope this message reminds you that grace still speaks louder.
