Paul and Lena have dedicated their lives to ministering to these children, helping them through Christian education to develop a personal relationship with their Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sunshine Orchard stands as a beacon of hope and education for children and youth who have endured the longest civil war in history. Nestled along the banks of the Moi River, which delineates the border between Thailand and Karen State, Burma.
For 15 years, Sunshine Orchard has been a sanctuary for its students, originating from a daring rescue mission to protect them from imminent danger. Initially welcoming 120 students ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade, the learning center steadily expanded, adding a new grade level each year. This progressive approach ensured a seamless continuum of education for the students, culminating in the current K-12th grade curriculum.
Today, Sunshine Orchard accommodates over 300 boarding students and an additional 500 day students from neighboring Thai villages.
