Colquitt Methodist Church, Colquitt, GA

Purpose: Colquitt Methodist Church is seeking a qualified candidate for the church secretary position. This position is vital to the success of the church as it is a liaison between the church and its members.

General Goals: The church secretary oversees the operation of the church office and assists the pastors, staff and volunteers with a variety of administrative duties. This is a part time position, but requires attention to detail, ability to manage basic bookkeeping skills (Church Windows) and office tasks, and a high level of organization. This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor. In the absence of a Senior Pastor this position will report to the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC). Interested applicants should submit resumes to SPRC Chair, Jane Hill at [email protected].

Specific Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly, quarterly and annually reports
* Prepare reports for pastor or committee chairs
* Mail or email newsletters, worship materials etc
*Record weekly attendance
*Prepare deposits
*Post tithes and offerings
*Responsible for accounts payable and receivable
*General secretarial duties which include answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, making copies etc.
*Generate programs for services
*Coordinate with service providers for service or issues (HVAC, lawn care, pest control etc.

Hours: Monday- Thursday
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.
