Prairie’s Breakfast Club Gets a New Coordinator-Paulo! 🥞
Help serve brunch at “The Place” on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Join us in supporting unhoused youth! We cook and serve a monthly meal to these young people from 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM. To join this ministry, contact our new Prairie coordinator, Paulo Z! Thanks, Paulo, for saying yes to this new ministry of caring for vulnerable youth.

HELP US CELEBRATE WITH BISHOP STONEKING!
Join us on Sunday, May 31 at 10 AM 🎉

Have you ever had a birthday celebration that somehow stretched into a whole birthday month? One cake becomes three cakes, one dinner celebration becomes four gatherings? That is exactly what is happening with Prairie’s chartering. We are so excited about becoming Prairie UMC that one Sunday simply is not enough. We are celebrating all month long!

And the highlight of this joyful month will be on Sunday, May 31 at 10 AM worship, when we welcome 🎊 Bishop Kristin Stoneking to worship with us. Bishop Kristin has been a wonderful support and encouragement to Prairie since her arrival in the Mountain Sky Conference, and she is excited to celebrate our chartering with us as our special preacher for the day.

In May, we joyfully celebrated the baptisms of Willow and Megan. With water and Spirit, we proclaimed God’s enduring truth over them: that they are beloved, claimed, and forever part of God’s family. We give thanks for Willow and Megan, and for the Spirit who is still moving among us.

Our baptism celebration table was filled with love and welcome as Prairie folks signed cards and shared blessings for the newly baptized.

Welcoming Our 28 Newest Members!

When PUMC chartered in May, we joyfully received 165 charter members into the life of our new church. Of those, 137 were already connected to Prairie or FUMC, either through Prairie’s years as a FUMC campus or through previous membership at FUMC. We are especially delighted to celebrate the 28 charter members who are completely new members of Prairie. Each one said a big “yes” to joining this church family, and each brings their own stories, spirit, and energy to our growing community.

Surrounded in these photos by their Prairie Pals, these new members remind us that Prairie is still becoming and still being shaped by the Spirit. We apologize that we don’t have photos of many of our new members. We are grateful for each and every one of them!
