The Redeemed Christian Church of God is a world wide ministry that started in 1952. We are a Spirit filled assembly multiplied in small and large groups all over the world. We invite you to come in and dine with the Lord of Host, who alone can solve your problems. Our Mission is received by the General Overseer (G.O.), Pastor E. Adeboye, and communicated to the Headquarters leaders. Our vision and
mission statement shall remain intact, with a qualifying addendum in view of the peculiarity of the demography in the North American region. They are as follows:
1.To make heaven.
2.To take as many people with us.
3.To have a member of RCCG in every family of all nations.
4.To accomplish No. 1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.
5.To accomplish No. 2 and 3 above, we will plant churches within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developing countries and within five minutes driving distance in every city and town of developed countries. We will pursue these objectives until every Nation in the world is reached for the Lord Jesus Christ. RCCG Colorado Springs, how it all started:
It is amazing how God in His infinite wisdom works out His eternal counsel. Eleven years ago, we (Pastor Michael Lipede and family) moved into this city purely on the wings of faith. The only contact was an elderly Christian gentleman, Papa Abiodun Afonja, whom we had the privilege of speaking with over the phone. We told him about the vision God had birthed in our hearts regarding the work in Colorado Springs and not only was he very excited about it, he pledged all his support for the work. With God's help, we held our first service on Sunday, 26th October, 2003 at the Satellite Hotel on South Academy Boulevard, with 18 people in attendance. Eleven months later, God moved us to a different location at 3612 Galley Road Colorado Springs, CO. 80909 from there we moved to our current location, 3474 West Carefree Circle Colorado Springs, CO. 80917, in October of 2010. Although we have met with serious challenges in the course of our journey, God has shown us great mercy and overwhelming favor and to Him alone be all the glory.
