Episode 1. Season 2. Why Should We Believe.

Trust feels fragile. Leaders fail. Institutions disappoint. Scandals make headlines. Many people carry questions about whether faith can still be trusted when people so often fall short.

In this episode, the conversation turns to the hardest part of belief. Trust. Not just trusting leaders or churches, but understanding how the Gospel begins with God choosing to trust us first.

Through the vulnerability of the incarnation and the cross, we see a God who goes first. A God who risks rejection. A God who offers trust before asking for it in return.

New episode available tomorrow.

The Emmaus Way: Lori’s Monday Reflections

“…Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him.” John 12:2b

Martha was still serving. The same gifts. A different source. In Christ, your life already holds deep meaning right where you are.

Commune like Lazarus. Serve like Martha. Worship like Mary.

“What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

That question lingers. When you step back and take an honest look at your life, what do you see? Purpose and fulfillment? Questions and doubt? Good intentions mixed with mistakes, pain followed by resilience? Many of us wrestle with whether our lives truly matter in a world that feels so big.

If you have ever wondered whether you missed God’s plan, whether it is too late to live with meaning, or whether this season of your life still has purpose, this week’s reflection is for you. No matter where you are or what limitations you face, meaning is not behind you. It is present, active, and flowing through your life right now.

Lori invites you to consider your life as God already sees it: wild, precious, and full of possibility. And if you have been on the fence about the January 31 retreat, this reflection may be the nudge you need.

Read this week’s Emmaus Way reflection and explore what it means to live with purpose right where you are.
