This Sunday at 10am, join us as we open Gods Word in Acts 16:1-10.

What do you do when God redirects your plans?

In Acts 16:1–10, Paul sets out with clarity and purpose… only to encounter unexpected detours, closed doors, and frustrating delays. And yet, through it all, Jesus is still leading.

Before the breakthrough in Macedonia, there were moments of confusion, surrender, and faithful obedience in the unknown.

This message explores how God works through those seasons, and why the detours in your life may not be interruptions at all. They may be real direction.

So, HOLD TIGHTLY to Jesus… and LOOSELY to your plans.

If youre new, visiting, or looking for a church home in Colorado Springs, you're welcome!

Laodicea wasn’t openly hostile. They were comfortable.

“I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing…” (Rev. 3:17)

That may be one of the most dangerous sentences a believer can learn to say.

Jesus isn’t calling His church to emotional hype. He’s calling us back to dependence, seriousness, and fellowship with Him.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock…” (Rev. 3:20)

If you’ve felt your need for Christ grow quiet under comfort and convenience, this reflection is for you.

You don’t have to be strong to be faithful. That was Philadelphia.

“You have but little power… and yet you have kept my word.”

They weren’t impressive. They were faithful.

And Jesus says:
“I have set before you an open door… no one can shut it.”

Maybe the question isn’t how strong we are, but whether we will hold fast.

The greatest danger to many churches is not persecution, it is respectable deadness.

To the church in Sardis, the Reigning Christ says something sobering: “You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.” (Revelation 3:1)

And yet His word is not only exposure, it is mercy: “Wake up… Strengthen what remains… Remember… keep it… and repent.” (Rev. 3:2–3)

If you feel the slow drift of doing the right things without the life of dependence on Christ, you are not beyond hope.

You can be active in ministry.
You can be loving and serving.
You can even be persevering.

And still tolerate something that slowly corrodes the soul.

That’s what was happening in Thyatira.

When the Reigning Christ says, “I have this against you,” we should lean forward and listen.

For our 2026 Bible Engagement journey, I just posted a short reflection on Genesis 39–40: “The LORD was with him.”

Joseph’s circumstances did not determine God’s presence. The Lord was with him in the household, and the Lord was with him in the prison. Even when people forgot him, Joseph was not forgotten by God.

If you’re reading along with us, I hope this encourages you today.

Are we holding fast… or slowly blending in?

This week in our “The Risen Christ Speaks” series, Jesus addresses the church in Pergamum with a sobering word and a better promise.

“Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.” (Rev. 2:16, ESV)

And yet, to the one who conquers: hidden manna… and a white stone with a new name (Rev. 2:17).
