Dear HTAC Family and COS locals,

Below are some unique and uniquely powerful ways to walk with Christ and His people this week! It is a lot of church, yet the depth that it brings is quite wonderful and makes for an amazing week!

--- Stations of the Cross (Wed, 6:30pm)

Stations of the Cross, also known as The Way of the Cross, is a service where we travel with Jesus on his journey from sentencing, to his crucifixion, to his burial. There are fourteen "stations," moments in that journey where we pause to pray and reflect.

--- Maundy Thursday Service (Thurs. 6:30pm)

Wjhat was going on during this evening leading up to Jesus's arrest in the Garden! We come together for Communion, and we wash each other's feet, following the example of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples.

--- Good Friday, Last Words of Jesus (Friday, 12 noon- 3.00p)

Beginning at noon, we will have short reflections on each of the last seven sayings of Christ before his death on the cross. Each saying will also be accompanied by ancient prayers, contmeporary and traditional music and silence. You are welcome to come in and out for any portion of this service, or stay for its entirety.

--- Friday, Evening Services (Friday, 5.00p and 7.00p)

Our Good Friday Evening services, held in conjunction with our friends at Cathedral Rock Church and The Movement Church, recall the moments of Christ’s death and burial. The last part of the service is a modified Tenebrae service. As we move through the Gospel narrative, we extinguish candles one at a time until the altar is dark.

--- EASTER SUNDAY! (Sunday 8.30a and 10.45a)
We break out the bells and the Hellelujahs for the glorous Resurrection celebration!!!

Almighty God, by your Word you laid the foundations of
the earth, set the bounds of the sea, and still the wind and
waves. Surround the survivors of Hurricane Helene with
your grace and peace, and preserve them. By your Spirit, lift
up those who have fallen, strengthen those who work to
rescue or rebuild, and fill us with the hope of your new
creation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Beginning another Lent with the quietly amazing Southwell Litany.

Southwell Litany, 1 of 19 - From moral weakness, from hesitation, from fear of men and dread of responsibility; Strengthen us with courage to speak the truth in love and self-control; And alike from the weakness of hasty violence and from the weakness of moral cowardice:

Holy Trinity will hold its Ash Wednesday Communion Services at 7 AM and 6:30 PM on Wednesday, February 14. Please join us for this beautiful liturgy, which offers a great posture for the heart as we enter the season of Lent.

Following the evening service, we will have a time of soaking prayer in the Sanctuary. Clergy and prayer ministers will be available to pray for specific needs, if made known, or to pray silently as the Holy Spirit leads, over those present.

NOTE: If you cannot make it to either of the services but would still like the imposition of ashes, you can stop by the Church at any time on Wednesday, and one of the clergy will be happy to do the ashes for you.
