It's Back to School Time...

I have been supplying Back To School Supplies to children in our community every year for the past 7 years.

This year more than ever I need support and I believe you can help me. That is why I am reaching out to all of you. Everyone started somewhere and I hope that being friends I have proven myself.

Now, as a Pastor and a Chaplain I have seen firsthand since we have been hosting the Back to School Drive for families in Colorado Springs, the sights and sounds of summer beginning to transition to the thoughts and anticipation of the upcoming school year. Children across the city and the state of Colorado begin to do the unthinkable when the summer begins, they look forward to the start of a new school year. The new school year symbolizes a new beginning, a chance to start fresh: new teachers, new classmates, new curriculum, and new sport seasons. There is no difference for the children who live and go to school in our community as any other. The children here wait with anticipation for a new chapter of their lives to unfold.

A major difference between many of the families in other parts of our city is the ability for them to prepare their children for the upcoming school year with the proper tools necessary to excel. The excitement and enthusiasm for a new and fresh start begins to wane when a child walks into school unprepared for their academic endeavors. The first homework assignment that goes undone because a child does not have the adequate supplies in their home begins to stifle the thirst for learning as soon as the school year starts.

Our goal is to provide families in our community with their school supplies so that children do not need to face the obstacle of not having the proper supplies to adequately complete their class work. Thanks to the donations received through the Back to School Drive and monetary donations we receive, parents are able to better equip their sons and daughters for their upcoming school year. Your donation will have a direct impact on continuing the hunger for education in a child.

This year we are planning to pursue our goal of sending children back to school, fully equipped with the tools they need to learn. Due to high-levels of poverty in the communities we serve, even minor school expenses can be a significant burden to families. More frequently, they act as barriers to children’s education.

I feel a great sense of responsibility to advance access to schooling by providing some of the educational materials children require to attend classes.

Without this support, we could not continue our humanitarian activities and it is because of the need for more active support that I come to you with our back-to-school needs. We are hoping that you will choose to give a generous donation. As always, any donation is tax deductible to the full extent permissible by the law.

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a great Christmas Season. First I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas!
At this time I am writing this to inform you that we still need your help as my ministry closes out the Christmas Season.
As of December 16, 2011, we have helped over 30 families, we have minstered the LOVE of Jesus Christ but there is still much, much more to accomplish.
Right now we are still in need of support to help the remainder of those who have contacted us for help. Your prayers for the families we are still wanting to help is greatly appreciated and we are asking those who will to lend a helping hand. I know times are less than favorable for a lot of people but every little bit helps.

In dealing with our enemies another one I have seen inside is doubt. There is no room for doubt in your life. You must replace doubt with believe. You can’t let doubt take over.

Many people doubt the past, doubt the future, doubt each other, doubt the government, doubt the possibilities and doubt the opportunities. Worse of all, they doubt themselves.

Listen, doubt will destroy your life and your chances of success. It will empty both your bank account and your heart.

Remember that God is your limit. I want to encourage you to make this the focus of what I want you to learn.

God is infinite. God is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-capable. There are no limits restricting God. Yet despite this, to our own harm as His followers we tend to limit the power of God by erroneous thinking.

God’s word will dispel the anti-biblical thinking of the world and open us up to receiving the unlimited blessings of God.

Stop limiting God through doubt and unbelief. We’re all going to face times in our life when it’s going to look like our hopes and dreams are not going to come to pass. But just because you face opposition and obstacles, it does not mean God will not keep his promises.

Doubt is an enemy that you need to get rid of.

The next enemy we face is indecision. Indecision is the thief of opportunity and enterprise. It will steal your chances for a better future. You must take the sword to this enemy.
To overcome indecision Jesus Christ introduces us to a life that comes from the throne of God, which is holy, righteous, true, pure and full of praise and which lifts us up to be citizens of heaven seated in heavenly places with him (Ephesians 2:6; 1 John 1:3).
We must receive Jesus to deliver us from indecision and 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 tells us that those who have accepted Jesus are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, out of us, individually and corporately, the River of Life FLOWS. This river represents the very presence of Christ.
In Christ it is possible to move forward through FAITH (Hebrews 10:38), LOVE (1 John 4:7, 8), OBEDIENCE (1 Samuel 15:22), WORSHIP (John 4:20-24), and SERVICE (Deuteronomy 10:20).

Following these principles also known as Confidence, commitment, cooperation, communication and companionship, we can authentically work to reclaim the victory we were destined to have in our life as rightful heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16-23).

Facing the Enemies Within...

We are not born with fear. Many fears are brought on by your own experiences, by what someone has told you or by what you’ve read over the years.

Fear is an enemy, so once you learn to avoid it, you won’t need to live in it. Fears can totally destroy our ambitions. Fear can destroy fortunes. Fear can destroy relationships. Fear can destroy our lives. Fear is one of t...he many enemies lurking around us.

There are other enemies we face from within as well. One of them you’ve got to destroy before it destroys you is indifference. What a tragedy this is. Letting it slide is just drifting along. Here’s one problem with drifting: you can’t drift your way to the top of the mountain.

In life there are ideas, strategies and proven principles that help us to achieve success in life, relationships and business.
