Devotion on Psalm 23:1-3. Psalm 23 reminds us of God's profound care and guidance in our lives. "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing" assures us that with God, our needs—physical, emotional, and spiritual—are met. As our shepherd, God knows us intimately, guiding us away from chaos and towards peace. The imagery of "green pastures" and "quiet waters" invites us to find rest and rejuvenation. In the busyness of life, it's vital to pause and allow God to refresh our souls. Reflect on where you need God's provision and peace today. Pray and ask Him to guide you, trusting that you will lack nothing essential. Embrace the tranquility He offers, knowing you are under His loving care

God is Our Refuge and Strength

Psalm 46:1 – "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

This Scripture is a powerful way for me to start the week. I know that there are times when I experience stress in my life, feeling powerless, abandoned, or betrayed, and I may even struggle with feelings of depression regarding my circumstances. Psalm 46 invites me to see God as my refuge. The word "refuge" signifies a place of safety, shelter, and protection—a place where I can find security and peace, especially during challenging times. In a spiritual or biblical sense, "refuge" reflects my trusting relationship with God, who provides comfort and support when I face difficulties. It represents a retreat from the chaos of life, allowing me to seek solace and strength. This concept also touches on my emotional and psychological well-being, creating a safe space where I can feel secure and cared for.
