Yesterday, Pastor Aaron challenged us to repent and return to our first love

We wrote down what we needed to confess and repent of, then brought it to the fire as a reminder that because of Jesus, we don’t have to leave carrying shame.

We also celebrated 9 baptisms, bringing us to 2,000 baptisms as a church! 🙌 Thank you, Jesus!

Next Sunday, we celebrate 10 YEARS of Trace Church with a very special service. We’d love to celebrate and worship with you!

Today, Pastor Aaron taught on what it means to repent and return to our first love.

Salvation comes through surrendering our lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior. But as we grow closer to Him, our relationship with sin should change. Repentance isn’t about earning our salvation, but continually reorienting our hearts toward Jesus and refusing to become comfortable with the things He died to set us free from.

Is sin losing its appeal?

“If sin doesn’t lose its appeal as you mature in Christ, you’re probably not maturing in Christ.”

What have you become comfortable with that Jesus died to set you free from?

Today Pastor Aaron challenged us from Revelation 2 to remember, repent, and return to Jesus.

Repentance is more than feeling sorry. It’s reorienting our lives around Him again and refusing to stay comfortable with the things He died to set us free from.

Freedom is only found when we’re finally honest.

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalm 103:12

You can’t hide and heal at the same time.

God never designed the church to be a place where people feel like they have to pretend. Healing starts with honesty, transparency, and being known in biblical community.

At Trace, we want to be a place where people can stop pretending, find their people, and take real steps toward healing and transformation.

Today, Pastor Aaron taught on the importance of community and cast vision for the future of Trace.

As God continues to grow our church and open new doors through our future home, we refuse to become comfortable or complacent. We will continue to advance the Gospel, serve our community, and extend hope when life hurts.

We will not be a country club church. We want to be a church that looks like Jesus.
