On the Pentecost day when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit with fire, the Holy Spirit worked through the gospel message which was preached that day to bring 3000 people to be baptized.

The Holy Spirit also works powerfully for you! He worked through your baptism to create faith in your heart. He works through the message of the gospel to sustain faith, so that we can call on the name of Jesus and be saved.

When Jesus died on the cross, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven, he showed us what was going to happen next for us. We follow our Savior’s pattern because we are his through baptism.

So, right now, we suffer. Then, we will rise from the dead. Jesus will announce our victory in the last day, and we will finally live in glory with God forever in heaven.
