Here in Joppa (Jaffa) today—just minutes from the modern skyline of Tel Aviv—we’re soaking in a beautiful, sun-filled day by the Mediterranean, where ancient stone meets sea breeze and Scripture. This historic port city has welcomed travelers for thousands of years, and even now it feels like a meeting place between deep history and everyday life.
Joppa appears again and again in the Old Testament. It was here that King Solomon’s cedars of Lebanon arrived by sea for the building of the Temple (2 Chronicles 2:16; Ezra 3:7). Joppa is also listed among the coastal cities in the territory of Dan (Joshua 19:46). But perhaps its most memorable story belongs to the prophet Jonah. From this very harbor, Jonah boarded a ship, attempting to flee from the call of God—only to discover that you can’t outrun purpose (Jonah 1:3). Standing here, it’s impossible not to reflect on obedience, calling, and the lengths God will go to redirect a willing heart.
If you’ve ever wanted to experience the Bible not just as text, but as lived history—Joppa is waiting. And I’d love to bring you here, to stand by this sea, hear these stories, and let the Holy Land speak for itself.
On our tours, we don’t just visit sites—we walk the narrative, connecting Scripture to real places you can see, touch, and remember.
