Who We Are

Our congregation consists of the faithful Orthodox Christians from traditionally Orthodox countries such as Greece, Romania, Serbia, Russia and Bulgaria. We also have those born here in America, who are second, third and fourth generation from our forbearers. In addition, many parishioners are simply "Americans" -- those who have converted from the Roman Catholic and Protestant denomi

nations. We are under the spiritual and ecclesiastical jurisdiction of His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver. The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Denver is a part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, which is an eparchy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

Our community was very blessed to have His Eminence, Metropolitan Constantine of Denver preside at the Holy Friday evening service along with Deacon Alexios Demos.

Last Saturday, January 24, 2026, our AMGOC Philoptochos hosted their 2026 Membership Tea Luncheon at Holy Theophany Orthodox Church. This event celebrated our chapter’s many accomplishments in 2025 as a newly incorporated Philoptochos, while also sharing plans for the year ahead.

Orthodox women from Colorado Springs and Pueblo were invited to join our chapter for the first time, or renew their membership. We were blessed to be joined by Father Dennis, Presbytera Sophia, 35 Orthodox women- and even five husbands of Philoptochos members who lovingly served the guests throughout the luncheon.

Thank you to all who helped make this event possible and to all who braved the cold to attend!

Such a wonderful surprise seeing our AMGOC Philoptochos chapter spotlighted by Philoptochos National!

This past Fall, our Philoptochos hosted a food drive for Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado that resulted in over 2000 meals donated! We were honored to partner with this great organization.
