This Ministry Appreciation Month, NBC's adjunct faculty has an encouraging view of the quality of ministers training for ministry at Nazarene Bible College!

From Rev. Kenneth Paynter, NBC Adjunct Instructor since 2008:
Our church has a bright future! I can say this with confidence for two reasons: The first is because of Christ’s promise to build His Church. The second reason is because I have met the future of our church in the lives of the students I have had the privilege of teaching in my years as an adjunct facilitator.

For generations, friends of Nazarene Bible College have invested in the mission of preparing men and women for ministry and service to Christ. While many supporters give faithfully during their lifetimes, some also choose to extend their impact far into the future through a gift in their Will or Living Trust.

Including NBC in your Will or Living Trust is easier than many people realize. Find out here: https://nbc.edu/news/42151/a-gift-that-endures-remembering-nbc-in-your-estate-plans/

What an impact! For 59 years, Nazarene Bible College has been educating men and women for the ministry God has called them to do. Now, they are now scattered across the USA Canada region, reaching their neighbors with the good news of Jesus Christ.

This map shows they live in large metropolitan areas and small rural communities – because God has called people to reach people. According to a study published in early 2026 in the National Library of Medicine, the average adult has 12 social interactions per day. This means NBC alumni represented in this map have the potential to touch about 200,000 people every day!

We are pleased to announce an addition to its Cabinet, Dr. Joseph Watkins, appointed as Vice President for Advancement starting October 1.

Dr. Watkins, who has extensive experience in both pastoring and higher education, has stepped into this role following Mr. Tim Keeton’s retirement. He served in leadership at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) for 17 years, first as Director of Development and eventually retiring as Executive Vice President. He has served as youth pastor and lead pastor as recently as 2025.

NBC looks forward to continuing to develop stronger connections within this vibrant community and strengthening resources for our students.
