Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, Colorado Springs

Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, Colorado Springs Loving God and loving people At Colorado Springs Central we believe all people matter to God and are infinitely loved by Him.

We seek to create a safe and caring community where anyone can come and experience fellowship and acceptance in Jesus Christ. We are a church full of imperfect people seeking wholeness and healing in Jesus. We are sinners seeking God's grace so that we might live the abundant life Jesus promised. We believe that church is to be house of prayer for all nations. As such we strive to create a cultura

lly and ethnically diverse congregation. Therefore, our differences are celebrated not just tolerated. We believe in the importance of family and children. Youth, young adults and singles are also made to feel welcome. We believe that the local congregation should be a blessing to the community and seek practical ways to share the love of Jesus by volunteering in the community. Worship services should be live changing and vibrant, reflecting the diversity in the local body of Christ. Our name incorporates the two major believes of our church. Seventh-day because we believe in the beauty of the Sabbath as a gift from God for man's restless body and spirit. And Adventist because we joyfully anticipate the return of Jesus some day soon! If you are looking for a safe place to come and grow in your walk with God we invite to check us out. We meet Saturday monring at 9:30 for Bible study and at 10:45 for worship. Or e-mail the pastor at [email protected].

God has endowed us with talents, and He often calls us to use those talents for the good of others, with the Holy Spirit as our guide.

When used in service or sharing the gospel, these talents are often referred to as spiritual gifts. As we grow spiritually, the Holy Spirit might even empower us with a new gift or help us discover gifts we never realized we had all along!

Dedicate all your talents today, and let God multiply them.

Whenever God’s people were encouraged to seek His face and spend time in His midst, He had one desire - that His people would be one.

In fact, it was Jesus’ prayer to the Father in John 17. He desired for us as humans to have heavenly unity with one another. He desired for people under the banner of faith to represent this unity to a broken world. He desired the healing of hearts.

In a recent discussion of the importance of the Sabbath with ANN In Depth, Pastor Morgan Kochenhower expressed that Sabbath is God’s invitation not just to reconcile us with Him, but for us to reconcile in our relationships with one another.

In fact, God would rather we leave our gifts at the altar (Matthew 5) and go and make things right with one another than show up for religious practices such as Sabbath morning services having not done so. Our God is much more concerned with our willingness to reconcile, forgive, and right wrongs than He is with whether you show up to Church on time.

Now are we suggesting you forsake going to church? No! But use these gatherings as an opportunity to love one another. Use the Sabbath hours as a way to reconcile just as our relationship with God is reconciled by His goodness towards us.

There will be a resulting outflow from one to the other. It’s promised in His word.
