Thank you to everyone who made the 2025 trip a success! We were able to spend our last day on the trip in fellowship, reflecting on the work we completed over the past week. For team building, we entered a giant maze made of tall cypress trees where we all split in to groups to practice walking my faith, not by sight (our theme verse for the trip). After that, we got to do some shopping for our prayer partners and see some historical sights in Honduras. To close out the night, we did our final reflection. The objective was to pick 1 impactful person and tell their story in first person.

The team has a very early departure for the airport tomorrow morning. We are expected to be back in Colorado on Saturday around 2:30 am.

Today the team was able to host a VBS at Santa Redencion, another church within the city. After that, the team was able to serve at Casa David Honduras. This is like a Ronald McDonald house next to the public hospital where families and/or patients can stay for a very low price while they receive care. The team was split into two, with some staying back to sing songs and serve dinner while the other half went to the public hospitaltal to serve treats to those in the waiting area

Please continue to pray for the health of the team as we begin to reach the end of our mission.

Today the team was able to share a worship service with the Betesda congregation. We shared three songs, including the blessing at the end of service. After church, we attended another wedding but this one was at the satellite church, El Guayabal. The couple had less means to do a wedding so the church was able to sponsor multiple components of the wedding. On the way back from the wedding, we stopped at satellite church El Naranjo to distribute shoes and clothing to the children and adults. At the end of the night, we were able to share our words and thanks with Betesda’s accountant Paula.

Updated information about the Honduras university students. There are now 13 students perusing higher education that we partially fund through fundraisers held at Holy Cross like the bowling tournament. These funds pay for their tuition, books and supplies, transportation, and other fees. The students want to relay their sincere gratitude and appreciation for all of those that donate and make their dreams possible!

Today the team got up bright and early to host a VBS in a central location for 10 different satellite churches. We saw about 550 kids and were also able to feed them as part of the Feed the Children program. After this, we were invited to a wedding at Betesda. The couple are the parents of one of our sponsor children. They have been together for 9 years and it is a blessing to have a wedding. To close out the day, we shared dinner with the university students.
