Praying for our Mid-High students at Butman Camp this week!

We love Butman Camp, our Mid-High students are there now. Read the history of the camp and our elementary students are featured in this photo from a couple of weeks ago.

The story of Camp Butman 🤍

Our mission is to provide a spiritual place where the present and future body of Christ can experience the glory of God and be equipped to enjoy Him forever.

The vision for Camp Butman began as leaders in the NWTX Conference recognized the need for a camp to better serve churches and families in the southern part of the Conference. As they prayed and planned, God began opening doors for that vision to become a reality.

A longtime resident of Mulberry Canyon, **Sam Butman Sr.** was encouraged by his daughters, Lottie and Mary, to donate land for a camp. On **May 14, 1953**, he signed the deed for **231.9 acres** in Mulberry Canyon, and just weeks later the NWTX Conference officially accepted this incredible gift.

Dr. Darris L. Egger Sr. described it as the fulfillment of years of "hope, dreaming, planning and praying." What was once rocky, rugged land became a place where thousands of children, youth, and adults would worship, grow in their faith, build lifelong friendships, and experience the life-changing love of Christ.

More than 70 years later, we're grateful to carry on that legacy. Thank you to everyone who has helped make Camp Butman the special place it is today—and to those who continue to invest in the generations still to come.
