“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” — 1 Peter 5:6–7 KJV

Sometimes we want God to change our circumstances immediately, but God asks us to humble ourselves and trust His timing. We may not understand what He is doing or why we have to wait, but we can rest knowing that His timing is always right.

And while we wait, we don’t have to carry our worries and burdens alone. We can cast all our care upon Him because He cares for us. The same God who asks us to humble ourselves is the God who promises to lift us up in His time.

Whatever you’re carrying today, give it to God. Trust His timing, surrender your cares, and remember that He cares for you.
