Isaiah 42:16 “I will lead the blind by a way they do not know, In paths they do not know I will guide them. I will make darkness into light before them And rugged places into plains. These are the things I will do, And I will not leave them undone.” (NASB)
Observation:
Inch by inch, I watched him climb. While picking produce from our garden, I happened to notice an inch worm climbing up a stalk. It reminded me of the time my wife and I climbed to the top of a mountain. The view was truly amazing, and we could see the beautiful creation of our God for miles. I got to thinking about how it took each step along the way, sometimes tough steps, some easy, but we didn't know what we would see when we got there.
Today's verse speaks of God leading the blind, of going down paths we do not know, but He will guide us. He will not leave us as He makes the rugged places into plains. Sometimes in life, the journey gets hard; the path gets a little foggy, and the mountains almost too high to climb. It is then we must put our strength in our Lord and call upon Him. It is then that we need to ask the Holy Spirit to comfort us and help us take one more step in His direction. I promise you, like the inch worm reaching the top of the stalk for the prize that awaits, we too will find the prize that Jesus Christ has for us...eternal life. Mo more death; no more pain. It will be worth each agonizing step along this path called life. That's if we choose to walk towards Him with each step we take. Where is your journey taking you?
