Dan Gifford from Geneseo will be in Silvis)…..Soup Supper following the evening Mass in Colona….

Save the date now on your calendar….Monday October 5 ….Divine Mercy Parish is honored to have Our Lady’s Roadie Kevin Matthews come and share his amazing story “Broken Mary” and bring with him the statue of Mary that forever changed his life…this will be a a night of hope, inspiration, and healing….more details to come as we get closer to the event….

Our Mass schedule for the Holy Day of Obligation for Mary, Mother of God is as follows: Tonight at 6:30pm at Saint Patrick in Colona….Tomorrow(January 1) at 10:30am at Saint Patrick in Colona and 5:30pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Silvis….make sure and make it to Mass for this beautiful and important Solemnity of our faith….Happy New Year everyone….

Our Christmas Mass Schedule is as follows: Christmas Vigil Mass Christmas Eve at 4pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Silvis with Christmas Carols beginning at 3:30pm…..Christmas Mass During the Night on Christmas Eve at 10pm at Saint Patrick in Colona with Christmas Carols beginning at 9:30pm…..Christmas Mass at Dawn on Christmas Day at 8am at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Silvis….Have a blessed and joyful Christmas everyone….

Due to the extreme wind chills expected tomorrow morning CCD has been cancelled for December 14….

We will have the 4:30pm Mass tonight at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Silvis….we will have all our planned celebrations in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe as well….I cannot promise that the parking lot and sidewalks will be shoveled and salted before Mass tonight….but the church will be open and Mass will go on….

After much consultation and discussion with the trustees, deacon, and other members of the community….tonight’s 4:30pm Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Silvis is cancelled due to the extreme snowstorm….driving around Silvis and Colona is currently very difficult because the plows cannot keep up with the snow falling and the roads are very slippery and difficult to navigate….this was not an easy decision, but in the interest of safety was made….all three Masses tomorrow will take place as scheduled….see you all tomorrow at Mass….

Join us this Sunday for our inaugural Divine Mercy Celebration at Saint Patrick Church in Colona: 1:30-3pm 6 priests will be available for confession; 2pm Patriotic Rosary prayed in church; 3pm Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Chanting of the Divine Mercy Chaplet; Talk on Divine Mercy by national Catholic speaker Keith Nester and then veneration of first class relic of Saint Faustina followed by Benediction….It’s going to be amazing….join us this Sunday!
