We are thrilled t o announce the appointment of Pastor Lauren Canary as our new pastor, effective July 1 , 2026. Due to previous commitments, Pastor Lauren's first Sunday at the pulpit will be Sunday, July 19, 2026. Pastor Lauren will serve Bronson First UMC along with Colon UMC, ½ time each. Other great news i s that she will be moving into our parsonage. Our District Superintendent, Reverend Dean Prentiss, introduced Pastor Lauren to our two Leadership Teams on Wednesday, April 29, and we are, incredibly, enthusiastic about the unique gifts she brings to our two congregations.

Pastor Lauren is a graduate of Central Michigan University, where she double-majored in Public & Non-Profit Administration & Religion. She comes to us from Garrett-Evangelical Seminary and has served, remotely, with Nardin Park UMC and the Wesley Foundation. Pastor Lauren is eager to begin her ministry with both Bronson and Colon, sharing her passion for community service and relational ministry.

For the upcoming week and a few future dates to keep in mind:
For the week of April 26 - May 3rd

-Our weekly worship services are Sundays at 11am, please join us, all are welcome!
-The office will be closed on Tuesday, April 28th
-Exercise group meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the fellowship hall at 9:30am, all are welcome to join!
-AA meets every Thursday from 7-9pm in the old kitchen area of the sanctuary
-Soup Sampler Supper will be happening on Wednesday, May 13th from 5-6pm. Please sign up to bring some soup, bread or desserts, the sheet is on the bulletin board.
