TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
Romans 8:18. I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.
19. The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God.
20. For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but because of the One who subjected it, in hope
21. that the creation itself will be set free from its bo***ge to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
22. We know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until the present time.
23. Not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
24. For in this hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he can already see?
25. But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently.
26a. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.

Paul has just afore mentioned that the Spirit of adoption, the earnest of our inheritance in Christ Jesus, hath made us Joint-Heirs with Christ (v17). Thus, we suffer with Him: Having identified with Christ, being born again in newness of His Spirit, we are in this world as He was (1John 4:17): Temporarily, for such a time as this; despised, rejected, suffering in flesh for the sake of our brethren, and all who would be saved.

Again, Paul said to the Ephesians concerning the bride of Christ, "For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones." - Ephesians 5:30.

Again, "But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit." -1Corinth.6:17.

Again, "And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is glorified, all the members rejoice with it."
-1Corinth 12:26.

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." - 2Corinth. 4:17,18.

So, we along with the whole of creation, wait patiently in this present sufferings for the certain, irrevocable, unfailing, promise of the glorification of God. The redemption of all that is declared very good (Genesis 1:31). Yet not alone and afraid do we wait, but with the Comforter (John 14:18, 25-27; John 15:18-16:22).

The Presence of the Holy Spirit.

The Indwelling of the Holy Spirit was:
* Foretold by the prophets Isaiah (Isaiah 44:1,3), and Joel (Joel 2:28,29; Acts 2:16).
* Pictured in the Feast of Weeks, or Pentecost (Leviticus 23:15,16); fifty days after the Wave Offering, the Feast of First Fruits (the Resurrection of Christ).
* Promised by the Son (John 14:16, 26, 15:26, 16:7,13,14; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,8).

Where then is the Holy Spirit today?

The prophecy (noted above) of the Holy Spirit being poured out upon Jacob's seed, was given to Israel as a promise to the nation as a whole; this has not yet come to pass (Ezekiel 39:29); though the Spirit's indwelling individual believers has.

The disciples of Jesus were powerless to do anything apart from Him. They could do nothing of themselves (John 15:4,5). Peter's failures gives us a vivid picture of the filthy rags of fleshly works (Matthew: 14:28-33, 16:21-23, 26:36-46, 26:69-75). Yet, when restored through the love of Christ (John 21:15-19) and empowered by the Holy Spirit (Acts 2) Peter, as well as all who had believed and followed Christ, were made witnesses that influenced, and would influence, and are yet influencing others for Christ sake.

This is not to say that God, the Holy Spirit had been absent from the lives of man since the creation. From the first page of Genesis 1, we see Him bring forth Cosmos out of Chaos. His "coming upon" men in Old Testament times accomplished things that men apart from God cannot. Yet, the evidence of Pentecost was a different witness; the Spirit came into men and remained with them.

When the believers today in ignorance or forgetfulness ask for the Holy Spirit to come and fall on them, as though He were not already, they "unconsciously unchristianize themselves" (Strauss p.32), for it is written: "If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His" (Romans 8:9).

For the Holy Spirit will be poured out upon all Israel soon, and is even now indwelling all who have been born again unto God, by His grace through faith in His Son. "Because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father" (Galatians 4:6).

Thank God today for the gift of His Spirit by which we are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13,14).

Therefore, we must also be conformed to the image of the Son. We must watch and prepare ourselves for the coming day when all Israel will be saved (Romans 11; focus v25-27). Submitting ourselves unto the Holy Spirit's guidance and teaching, walking in Him by obedience to His word, and the living sacrifice of our bodies unto Him: Which is our divinely reasoned worship of God (Romans 12).

Love you all,
Bro. Flynn

Let the Dead Bury Their Dead, But Go Thou and Preach the Kingdom of God.

Luke 24:5(b) - Why seek ye the living among the dead?

In the midst of Luke's divinely inspired account of the resurrection of our Savior and Lord we see: Two messengers of God (whose appearance was as men dressed in radiant garments) asking the disciples of Jesus, (who had risen from their beds early to attend the body of Jesus)
"Why do you look for the living among the dead?"

What a thought-provoking, socratic question. Why would any search for glory at the grave? How might life be found in a cemetery?
What witness is there of God among the dead?
How shall the Dry Bones come together except God call them forth? And then shall they remain in the place where they were laid (Ezekiel 37:1-14)?

What had those who had followed Christ and seen the miracles He did, and heard Him testify of His death, burial and resurrection, upon the Third Day, come to see?
Had He not said, "The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again" (Luke 24:7)?

This question would cause the disciples to process an answer by considering two vastly different realities: In the reality of the world dead men stay dead, but in the reality of the eternal heavens they do not, and especially this one called Christ, the Son of the Living God!
The reality of the world says: There is no Judgement, there is no Justice, there is no Savior, there is no Hope.

Yet, with one question the Light of heaven broke through the darkness of the world's lies and eternal truth was realized,
"He is not here, but is risen!"

Remember today the words of our Living Savior:
"I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; That where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know" (John 14:2(b)-4).

Therefore, we shall not mourn by the Graves as others without hope, but shall have the testimony of Christ among the living (1Thessalonians 4:13-18), until we see Him as He is.

Love you all,
Bro. Flynn

Study and Search the Scriptures, in them you have come to faith in Jesus Christ and have by His grace received forgiveness of sin and eternal life (John 5:39).
Hear what the Spirit has and is saying unto the churches. For it is certain there will be times of trials and testing while in this world which hates our Lord and Savior and all that are His.
Yet, we are kept by the power of God unto a sure eternal glory.
Yet, we are so loved by Him that He is not willing for any to perish, but that all may come to repentance and faith.

Trust and Rejoice in His promises for they are sure truth and shall bring you a peace that surpasses all understanding (John 16).

Continue in Prayer to the Lord of Harvest for lost souls to be saved, added unto the church, and grown up unto the work, a vessel meet for the Masters use (Matthew 9:38).
Remember our commission: (Matthew 28:19-20) how that we are sent out into the
world bearing the gospel of Jesus our Savior until our work of discipleship here is finished and Christ our Lord returns. Therefore put on Christ that you might be able to endure, and so that others may see His glory in you and be saved.

The Sealing Power of the Holy Spirit.

"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption" (Ephesians 4:11-31).

Romans 8:16 -The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
17. And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him.
18. I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.

The power of the Spirit has throughly furnished all who believe with the knowledge of life and Godliness made manifest to us by the calling of Christ Jesus.
These sure, and magnificent, and precious promises then are our strength, and His witness to overcome the evil desires of the world and instead share in the devine nature by which we are now sealed, secured, and held in until HE returns and our final eternal glory is revealed in, by, and for our LORD (2Peter 1:1-15).

Suffering in this weak and corrupted body of flesh is not pleasant, it is not joyful, or peaceful, or comfortable.
Because the body of flesh is not what is redeemed by Christ's blood.
The born again spirit within is what we now have of the Redeemer; while we wait patiently for the resurrection and the glorified body fit with holy Spirit for His eternal kingdom (1Corinth.15:50-58).
Therefore, walk in the Spirit and you will have what is missing in the flesh (Galatians 5:16-25),and be patient knowing His promises are sure and AMEN (Galatians 5:5)!
Love you all,
Bro. Flynn

TITUS 3:1-8
1. Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2. To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
3. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6. Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7. That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Note v5,6) God has saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth (Romans 10:17; Ephesians 5:26; 1Peter 3:21; 1Corinth. 6:11; Hebrews 10:22), and renewal by the Holy Spirit. This is the Spirit He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior

In the days of Noah, God proclaimed, "My Spirit shall not always strive with man" (Genesis 6:3).
We have here a stern warning of the limitation of God's longsuffering, grace and mercy.

The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin (as the Lord Jesus promised John 12:32), but when man willfuly or blindly persists in continuing in sin and rejecting the pricks of the heart to repent, the Spirit of God will one day cease to strive with that man; Also as Jesus Christ promised:
(Matthew 12:31,31), and his disciples continued to preach and therefore were, and are, and shall be persecuted (Acts 7:51).

"The Peril of resisting the Spirit is that of those who are not born again" - Dr. G.Campbell Morgan.

If any of you have not experienced the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit, do not resist Him any longer. Repent of your sin and submit yourselves a living sacrifice to God, accepting His grace through faith in Jesus Christ the Savior of All who will be saved.

Which is the only reasonable thing to do in response to His Gospel (Romans 12:1,2).

Love you all,
Bro. Flynn

Ten promises of God to Help in Time of Need.

1. 1Corinthians 10:13 -There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand, without giving you a way to escape it.
God understands the weight of temptation and gives us what we need to overcome it. He’s with us, offering strength and a way out.
He has given us example in Christ Jesus of what and Who that way of escape is:
"we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin" (Hebrews 4:15).

Jesus answered the lying Tempter with the truth of God's own holy Word, and afterward was strengthed by God's messengers (Matthew 4:1-11).
And, Jesus, "in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him" (Hebrews 5:7-9).

2. Galatians 5:1-26
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Jesus came to set us free from sin.The Law of sin and death feels like a heavy chain, but Jesus has the power to break it! Walking in the Spirit will free you from the lust of the flesh, and fulfill the law of God in you (ROMANS 8).

3. Psalm 34:18
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
When sin leaves you feeling crushed and broken, God is right there. He’s close to those who are hurting, ready to bring comfort and healing.

4. Romans 7:15 -“I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.”
If you’ve ever felt frustrated with yourself for repeating the same mistakes, you’re not alone. Even Paul, one of the early leaders of the faith, struggled with that back-and-forth battle. It’s part of the journey, but it’s not the end of the story.
Paul, toward the end of his struggle with the flesh also said, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing (2Timothy 4:7,8).

5. Philippians 4:13
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
Overcoming the trials and temptations of this world and sin is hard, but with God’s help, it’s possible. He gives us the strength to make choices that lead to freedom.

6. John 8:36
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36
True freedom isn’t just wishful thinking. It’s real, and it’s possible through Jesus. He’s the one who breaks chains for good.

7. 2Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
Fear doesn’t have to hold you back. God gives you the power and self-discipline to overcome, even when it feels impossible. For perfect Love casts out fear (1John 4:18).

8. 1 Peter 5:7
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
When you're struggling, God isn’t passively watching from a distance. He cares deeply about what you’re going through, and says: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"
(Matthew 11:28-30).

9. Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
When lust, temptation, trials, sin, addiction...feels overwhelming, God promises his presence and strength. He’s not going anywhere. He’ll be right there to hold you up.

10. James 5:16
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” James 5:16
You don’t have to go through this alone. There is power in the congregation of brethren and being honest with others and inviting them to walk alongside you in prayer and God's word.
Bad company corrupts (1Corinthians 15:33), but
Gathering with those set apart by God through faith will strengthen you (Hebrews 10:24,25).

Jesus is our example: Our faith.
Matthew 4- Temptation is fought with the word of God.
Matthew 26:36- Weakness of flesh is strengthened by watching and praying in the Spirit.
Hebrews 10:24,25 - Your local church brethren are vitally important to your walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.

Trust in what God has said; if you have for salvation, then know the same is true for cleansing of all unrighteousness (1John 1:9), for He is faithful which has called you.

"Child of weakness watch and pray, find in me thine all in all." - JESUS PAID IT ALL!

Love you all,
Bro. Flynn
