Update on life from Melissa…
We are blessed to be in Texas with God’s wonderful people. ⛪️
Being able to be a part of REVIVAL services is an honor and we are both grateful for God’s favor.
After nearly 2 years evangelizing, we have not had a schedule. 😳
When a door opens, we stay until it’s time to walk through another one. 🚪
By the grace of God, we haven’t missed a week of service. The fields truly are white! 🌾
There’s some of you who would rather me tell the rough sides of the ministry life… Maybe it would make your trials seem less heavy. You would feel connected. Not alone. ⛈️🌪️
We could fill your feed with struggles, with trials, with heartache, with pressure, all the things. 😌
Life happens to us all. 🤦🏼♀️
I choose to focus on the breakthroughs, triumphs, heartwarming releases, redemption, the sides of the mountains we “get” to scale. 🏔️
Some mountains move at our spoken faith. Others move because God gives us a shovel.
When life gives me lemons, I’m grateful. 🍋 Lemons make the TEA so much better. 🧋
Recently while organizing our storage shed, I came across a cassette of my dad teaching Sunday School.
Since that is OLD technology, it took me a while to find a cassette player.
My husband looked at pawn shops, thrifted, the usual tech stores… finally came across one. Teresa (his sister) had one she was going to sell during their weekly auction on What Not.
You can find them.

Fast forward to now. 📼
The last time I heard his voice was a phone call. He called to check on me and Chandler during a Covid Quarantine. We were fine but since it was mandatory, we played it safe and stayed home. 🏠
He didn’t trust the words of a text.
He called daily. 📲
He said he had to verify that my voice sounded well. Dad told me that if I needed anything- he would tell his people to get with my people and it would be delivered to my door. Basically, he was saying my sister would get it done. 🥰
My last conversation. 😊
The next morning, my sister had to call to tell the news that he was gone.
A pulmonary embolism caused a quick death. Day 14 of our quarantine.
August 2020 🗓️ Our family’s loss was Heaven’s gain. 🪽🦋
Finding the cassette was a treasure for me. It was so good to hear his voice.
I want to digitize the cassette to share with my family. Amazon has options that I’m looking into. If you have pointers- please share with me. 😊
Praying all of you are living your best life serving the Lord.
