Daily Prayer - Tuesday , July 29, 2025

Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Welcome to my daily scripture reading and prayer ministry. I’d love for you to join me. Click below to watch the 10-minute video I’ve prepared for today. I hope you’ll listen to it as you get ready for your day.

Remember, the ideals we’re fighting for were first captured by the writers of the Old and New Testaments thousands of years ago through God’s inspiration, and they’re just as meaningful today as they were then. We need the faith rooted in scripture to empower us to fight the unholy chaos surrounding us today. I hope knowing scripture better will inspire and encourage you.

Today’s highlight:
Jesus and his followers went to the towns around Caesarea Philippi. While they were traveling, Jesus asked them, “Who do people say I am?”
They answered, “Some say you are John the Baptist. Others say you are Elijah, and others say you are one of the prophets.”.
Then Jesus asked, “But who do you say I am?”
Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”

Jesus warned his followers not to tell anyone who he was.
- Mark 8

Every day as I prepare these readings, I’m amazed by how God’s Word speaks to us in fresh ways to carry out God’s will for love, justice, and truth.

These readings are also available on my YouTube channel. They’re posted at 5 p.m. the night before. You can find them at http://www.youtube.com/. I’d love for you to subscribe! (You might need a Google account to do that.)

I pray God blesses you in unexpected ways today!

Today’s highlight:
My honor and salvation come from God. He is my mighty rock and my protection.
People, trust God all the time. Tell him all your problems, because God is our protection.
The least of people are only a breath, and even the greatest are just a lie.
On the scales, they weigh nothing; together they are only a breath.
Do not trust in force. Stealing is of no use.

Even if you gain more riches, don’t put your trust in them.

Today’s highlight:
Jesus told the people to sit on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves, gave thanks to God, and divided the bread. He gave the pieces to his followers to give to the people, and they did so. The followers also had a few small fish. After Jesus gave thanks for the fish, he told his followers to give them to the people also. All the people ate and were satisfied. Then his followers filled seven baskets with the leftover pieces of food. There were about four thousand people who ate. After they had eaten, Jesus sent them home.

Today’s highlight:
All the elders of Israel came to King David at Hebron, and he made an agreement with them in Hebron in the presence of the Lord. Then they poured oil on David to make him king over Israel.
David was thirty years old when he became king, and he ruled forty years. He was king over Judah in Hebron for seven years and six months, and he was king over all Israel and Judah in Jerusalem for thirty-three years.

Today’s highlight:
I love the Lord, because he listens to my prayers for help.
He paid attention to me, so I will call to him for help as long as I live.
The ropes of death bound me, and the fear of the grave took hold of me. I was troubled and sad.
Then I called out the name of the Lord. I said, “Please, Lord, save me!”
The Lord is kind and does what is right; our God is merciful.
The Lord watches over the foolish; when I was helpless, he saved me.
I said to myself, “Relax, because the Lord takes care of you.”
Lord, you saved me from death. You stopped my eyes from crying; you kept me from being defeated.
So I will walk with the Lord in the land of the living.

Today’s highlight:
That night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and Jesus was alone on the land. He saw his followers struggling hard to row the boat, because the wind was blowing against them. Between three and six o’clock in the morning, Jesus came to them, walking on the water, and he wanted to walk past the boat. But when they saw him walking on the water, they thought he was a ghost and cried out. They all saw him and were afraid. But quickly Jesus spoke to them and said, “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.” Then he got into the boat with them, and the wind became calm. The followers were greatly amazed. They did not understand about the miracle of the five loaves, because their minds were closed.

Jesus told his followers to have the people sit in groups on the green grass. So they sat in groups of fifty or a hundred. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish and, looking up to heaven, he thanked God for the food. He divided the bread and gave it to his followers for them to give to the people. Today’s highlight:
At once the girl went back to the king and said to him, “I want the head of John the Baptist right now on a platter.”
Although the king was very sad, he had made a promise, and his dinner guests had heard it. So he did not want to refuse what she asked. Immediately the king sent a soldier to bring John’s head. The soldier went and cut off John’s head in the prison and brought it back on a platter. He gave it to the girl, and the girl gave it to her mother. When John’s followers heard this, they came and got John’s body and put it in a tomb. - Maek 6

Daily Prayer - Wednesday , June 11, 2025

Hello there!

Welcome to my daily scripture reading and prayer ministry. I’d love for you to join me. Click below to watch the 10-minute video I’ve prepared for today. I hope you’ll listen to it as you get ready for your day.

I do these readings to remind us that everything we do in life should be based on scripture. Remember, the ideals we’re fighting for were first captured by the writers of the Old and New Testaments thousands of years ago through God’s inspiration, and they’re just as meaningful today as they were then. I hope they’ll inspire and encourage you.

Today’s highlight:
Praise the glory of the Lord’s name. Bring an offering and come into his Temple courtyards.
Worship the Lord because he is holy. Tremble before him, everyone on earth.
Tell the nations, “The Lord is king.” The earth is set, and it cannot be moved. He will judge the people fairly.
Let the skies rejoice and the earth be glad; let the sea and everything in it shout.
Let the fields and everything in them rejoice.
Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the Lord, because he is coming.
He is coming to judge the world; he will judge the world with fairness and the peoples with truth.
- Psalm 96
