The beauty of the Gospel is that Jesus took ALL your sin, all your filth, all your mess, and He gave you HIS LIFE and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS in return. In HIM, you are made new. Because let’s be real, we can’t be anything good in and of ourselves. We bring nothing to the table. We mess up time and time again. So Jesus said to His Father, “I’ll do it Father. I’ll take their place, and I’ll give them a brand new life so they can be WITH us, so they can be made NEW and experience the life we LONG to give them.”

How amazingly kind, how wonderfully gracious, how deeply He lavished love on us! We are a new creation because He delighted to make anyone new who believed in Him.

How can we pray for the people at FBC and Collingdale this summer? Here’s a few…

1. Pray for our kids to grow in Jesus. Pray that they would learn to walk in obedience to their parents and guardians, and ultimately to the Lord. Pray for their wellbeing this summer. Pray that they would learn new ways to live others! Pray for their parents, for wisdom in raising them!

2. Pray for our teens! Pray that they would desire to deepen their walk with the Lord, to chew on the tough questions and feel the support to ask their questions aloud, to learn about God and who He is. Pray that they would make wise choices in life. Pray for their dependence to grow more and more every day on Jesus.

3. Pray for our outreach opportunities this summer: pray for people to partake of our free clothing closet, pray for the Children’s Fun Nights in the parks of , and pray for the Block Party in August. We are wanting to care for, meet and reach people this summer.

4. Pray for the discipleship of our church. Pray that we would be known for walking beside people, helping to strengthen their understanding of the Lord and His Word. Pray that people would love people well!! Pray that we would grow teachers, leaders and become a people who disciple and train well!

Today, we are so thankful for the men and women who have served our country, given their lives in sacrifice for the freedoms that we enjoy, and we honor their service. 🇺🇸

May we live in light of the freedom we have, both physically in The United States of America, and spiritually in our identity in Jesus Christ.
