Made it to Charlotte, NC. We are scheduled to leave here at 1Pm Eastern and land at Memphis at 1:45pm central.

Israel has been having a heat wave this week. It was up to 100' on Wednesday. Unlike the 2009 & 2011 trips, the pilgrims wanted to stay in the water at the Baptism site.

Leaving hotel now to go to the Mount of Olives, do the palm sunday walk and see get-sem-amine.

On Sunday morning, as we where leaving Jerusalem, heading to Caesrea, we were informed the our hotel booking at the Dead Sea had been modified. Instead of going to the hotel on the Israel side of the lake we would be going to a hotel on the Jordan side of the lake. So on Tues. night after leaving Jericho we crossed into Jordan.

On Monday morning, as we where touring the Golan Heights, we stopped at an overlook where we could see Damascus 30 miles in the distant to the west. We could also see smoke coming from a town 30 miles to the West. Our guide said that was were the fighting was going on!
