Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced a grief and loss that changed us forever. We remember those who lost their lives, pray for those who continue to grieve, and give thanks for the courage, compassion, and care shown by first responders and those who helped carry us through the days that followed.

In a world that continues to experience unthinkable tragedies and needless suffering, we are reminded that our ultimate hope is not found in circumstances, but in Jesus Christ.

LWML is highlighting a new $10,000 mission grant this biennium:

Spiritual Care: Upbring-New Life Children’s Center.

This grant provides Bible study materials and essential resources for girls ages 11-17 at New Life Children’s Center in Canyon Lake, Texas. Many of the girls arrive at New Life after experiencing severe abuse or neglect. These courageous young women then begin to grow and heal through in-depth clinical therapy, personal development activities and spiritual care in a safe setting.

To support this and other Texas District LWML mission grants, mite boxes are available at the Mission Board in the corridor behind the sanctuary.
