If you missed the memo…After almost 15 joyful years leading the Colleyville Early Childhood Ministry, I am passing the torch to Amanda Giras. In this picture I’m between Amanda (on the left) and (on the right). Barb led this ministry for 15 yrs prior to me and was a wonderful role model full of wisdom and grace for leading others.

I’ll still be around, so please stop me to say hello! My heart is full of thankfulness, excitement and hopeful anticipation as I join the Special Needs Ministry in a Central role for all four Compass campuses! (Now that’s a tongue twister)

We were blessed to have Carter’s sister serving with us until she moved away for college 4 years ago. Then…along came .cummings_ who happily served alongside his awesome mom
Now Carter is a senior!

HANNAH MARCHBANKS

🎉 Hannah has been serving in the early childhood ministry off and on for the last three years! Hannah was a consistent volunteer we could count on for Christmas and Easter! And other times, she would serve all day on Sundays.

❤ We are thankful Hannah chose us to spend time with even during her busy years of being an officer on the great Fabulous Fillies GHS dance team. God always brought her to us at just the right times!

NATALIE (NAT) WILLIAMS

🎉 Natalie has been a consistent friendly face in our 8:30 PreK class for three years! It's been a great pleasure watching Natalie grow in her leadership skills within this class. A favorite memory is when Natalie dressed up as an angel during one of our lessons a few years ago! She is willing to do what it takes to engage with our PreK Kids!

❤ Natalie would make time to volunteer even after late Saturday nights of band competitions through the years. Thank you Nat for helping kids feel welcome each time they entered your PreK class!

MADISON ATCHLEY

🎉 Madison has served with us off and on for a few years and we love anytime we gt to have her with us in the Early Childhood Ministry! We love that Madison is willing to serve wherever there is a need within the ministry. Her most recent time has been spent with our active PreK kids during the 10am class time. We are able to have an adequate number of helpers for our lead teachers thanks to her and other student volunteers.

MACKENZIE DAWSON

🎉 Mackenzie joined our serving team about a year ago and WOW what an impact she has made! She serves EVERY WEEK in our 10am One's Class. Thanks to her, we are able to have two classrooms open for this highly attended class time. Mackenzie is so reliable and has great communication. These skills will bless her in the future for sure!

❤And the One Year olds? They adore her! She has a special gift for nurturing these children with the love of the Lord. We smile when we see Mackenzie's name on the serving schedule, because as Bob Marley sang, "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" in the One's Class.

🎓 Our Early Childhood Ministry could not survive or thrive without student volunteers. We have been blessed with a special group of seniors! Some of served for 5+ years and some started within the last year, but show up EVERY week! These students have done amazing things within the church, their schools and community….all to the glory of God.

ANNA WHITE

🎉Anna joined our team about a year ago when we desperately needed more volunteers for the 11:30 One's/Two's classes. Anna gives parents and their children a big smile and welcome greeting each Sunday! Anna also works well under pressure as this class time sometimes required. We love Anna for her flexibility in serving where she's needed and always having a positive attitude!

Anna will be missed by many families at Compass, but we're cheering her on for a bright future!

KAILER KORDEWICK

🎉 We got to know Kailer three years ago when she asked to start serving with us. Kailer traveled a lot as she is a competitive climber, but when she was in town and available she would always contact us about volunteering.

Kailer is a ray of sunshine and everyone who partners with her for volunteering loves her! Other volunteers put in special requests to be placed with Kailer! What a compliment to her!

We quickly learned, three years ago, that Kailer is a baby/toddler and kid whisperer. She has a gift for comforting sad children. Through the years, after adult volunteers had no luck comforting a child-we’d say,”Where’s Kailer?” And sure enough, she’d have success!

💜 We wish all the best for her future college years!

Team work! ❤️We do what it takes to keep kids happy!
We’ve enjoyed Easter classes for 5 services. Three more tomorrow: 8:30/10:00/11:30. (7am is a “family”service.)
