Final Farewell.....
It has been an amazing 145 year run since Pleasant Run Baptist Church was organized and began holding worship services in the Colleyville area in 1877. However, it is said that everything has it's time and sadly that time has arrived for our dear founded PRBC.
It is with much sadness and many emotions that we now say good bye to PRBC as we know it today. IT has been a placed of worship, a place of marriages, baptisms, a place to remember and acknowledge the life of many who have passed on, and a place for like minded believers of Jesus Christ to gather to fellowship and lift our hearts and voices to our Lord and Savior for many generations of believers.
This Sunday, Dec. 18th, 2022, at 11:00AMwill be the final worship service for Pleasant Run Baptist Church. After much praying and discussions, the painful decision was made that for this facility to continue to be a place of worship, and services to God, that we are turning the facility and assets over to the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention-Foundation, which will hold and maintain the facility, with the expressed purpose of re-planting a new Southern Baptist Congregation here as soon as possible.
Therefore, we can rejoice that we are helping to facilitate great things that God has in store in the future for His House of Worship. We look forward with anticipation to the time we can worship together here again, and hope to see you there.
May God continue to bless what began here 145 years ago. We will have a lunch following the Sunday morning service, if you would like to attend, please RSVP as soon as possible so we can have an approximate head count.
