Mentoring men i a process in which the man being mentored absorbs masculinity from the one who is the mentor. It is similar to the young boy absorbing his father's masculinity down to the imitation even of his habits and behaviors.
True masculinity is caught more than it i taught and the mentoring process involves a mentor walking with the one being mentored on a journey toward maturity.
Think about it...a womea can not mentor her son in masculinity, but she can respond and acknowledge the boy's masculinity. The father is the source of the young male's masculine energy and development.

In one of our men's groups a father said, "I don't want my children to know God from afar." Children see God as being like their father. Their God-image is shaped primarily by the relationship they have or do not have with their father.
Dads, a question for you. Are you a good image of a Heavenly Father? Will your children like their image of God shaped by your interaction with them or will they only know God from afar?
