We’re delighted to share some exciting news! The House of Prayer has received a generous grant of $1.25 million to take part in the Thriving Congregations Initiative.
Across the next 5 years, we’ll use this funding to develop a contemplative spiritual formation curriculum. Over time, components of the curriculum will be used across the Episcopal Church in MN. We’re calling it Transforming Hearts: An Ancient Wisdom Curriculum for Modern Congregations.
And we’ll be shaping it in good company! In January, we welcomed our 1st congregational cohorts from across the ECMN, who’ll help form the forthcoming curriculum with us. Across a series of in-person retreats, online workshops, and small group gatherings for contemplative dialogue, these cohorts of lay leaders and clergy will provide ongoing engagement and feedback. First, as they bring contemplative practices into their own lives, then later into their broader congregational contexts.
