Just a reminder to sign up for an intergen if you haven’t already! The link to sign up is in GroupMe.

Many of our students have said that Intergens have been their most impactful and favorite recurring AFC event. It’s one hour a week eating and studying the Bible with members of our church congregation who are ready and excited to pour into you this semester. It’s a great way to connect with other AFCers, get fed, and most importantly, to learn about Christ from people of other generations who have been faithfully walking with Him. These members are opening their home, and we are thankful for the Christlike hospitality they have shown and will show to all of you.

Weekend trip season is officially here! Last weekend, we kicked things off with a trip to Houston Church of Christ in Cypress!

Our students had an awesome weekend serving alongside the Houston Church of Christ congregation. They helped with a food drive through Cypress Assistance Ministries, helped prepare housing for an incoming family at the Boys and Girls Club, and worked on some projects around HCoC!

We’re so thankful for HCoC for hosting our students, encouraging them, and giving them opportunities to serve.

Tonight, we’ll settle into our normal Wednesday night schedule. We always kick off the evening with some food/snacks at 6:45, then our classtime together. This semester, Brian will be leading us through Hebrews. We spend lots of time in the Word, chewing on the text, learning why it matters and how to apply it in our lives. Pizza will be out at 6:45, we encourage you to bring your friends!

Thanks for joining us at SOAR 2026 and our first week of Howdy Week! Here’s some information for tomorrow morning:

AFC meets on Sundays at A&M Church of Christ in the gym at 9:45! We’ll have breakfast (breakfast tacos, fruit, muffins, juice, and coffee), and this Sunday, the elders of A&M Church of Christ will be speaking a blessing over us as we kick off a new school year. Their wives will also be there to meet you!

Between breakfast and our time of blessing and prayer, we’ll hang out and spend some time in fellowship. Then we’ll have worship at 10:30 with the rest of the congregation.

We encourage you to join us, whether you’re new or returning, and come be loved on and blessed by our congregation! They are excited to pour into you this year. We can’t wait to see you!

Our official Howdy Week (and more!) schedule is HERE! We can’t wait for all the new and returning faces this year will bring, and we encourage you to join us for a few weeks of free fun and fellowship. We’ve been praying earnestly over this new school year, and we’re so excited that it’s almost here. The fun starts August 15th—all are welcome, all the time!
