What a blessing it is to join together in fellowship. This week, we met on Tuesday and Thursday for Freshman Study Bible and Thursday Night Worship, the Table, and enjoyed each other’s company while taking time to learn about the Lord and where He calls us.
In Freshman Study on Tuesday, we listened to “Cowboy Take Me Away” as well as “Blowin in the Wind” and explored how the songs connected to Scripture and what we could take away from them. Through these songs, we learned about creation, the connection between horizons and eternity with God, and the ways God speaks through different elements of creation.
At the Table on Thursday, Bryan preached over Luke 24:28 35 and John Wesley’s idea of prevenient grace. Luke 24 illustrates prevenient grace through Jesus walking with, teaching, and opening the eyes of the discouraged disciples before they fully recognize Him. This grace that goes before is shown as Jesus initiates the encounter, warms their hearts, and prepares them to move from doubt to faith.
You can join us this upcoming week in many ways. On Saturday, we will participate in a church wide service project creating blessing boxes for those currently battling breast cancer or those who have recovered. On Sunday, join us for worship, Sunday school, and college lunch as we celebrate the College Food Pantry. Our weekly schedule includes Monday Bible Study, Tuesday Freshman Small Groups, Wednesday church wide dinner and intergenerational studies, and Thursday Night Worship, the Table. We cannot wait to join you in fellowship this week.
