Central is having a GIANT Garage Sale to raise funds for various youth events and mission trips throughout the year. This year’s sale will be held Friday, August 2nd from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday, August 3rd from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm and will be held at Central Church located at 1991 FM 158, College Station TX, 77845, in the gym. Vintage items, dorm necessities, Furniture, Lawn Equipment, Appliances, Home Goods, Kid & Baby Items, Electronics, Games, Accessories... You name it. We probably have it!

We’re having our very first garage sale! We’re about a month away, and we need donations. Drop off clothes, housewares, books, or anything you don’t want or need anymore from August 6-10 in the gym.

This week our Honduras team has been speaking at schools, visiting families and holding evangelistic services at the soccer field in First Bight. Please pray for those that heard these messages and for the team as they fly home today.

MEET THE TEAM: SHANE MIKESKA

“I’m super excited for
The opportunity to once again go to Ireland to serve alongside Duncan and Becky. Duncan was one of the first students I met in Manchester, England when we served as missionaries there over 12 years ago. It was a joy and blessing to disciple and mentor Duncan while he was a university student and now he’s planting a church in Dublin. He loves God and loves his family and wants to make disciples through their church Redeemer.

One of my joys is to lead international mission teams to live on mission for Christ. I want to empower, encourage, and challenge others to boldly share the Gospel with others. I hope by modeling simple everyday conversations in everyday walks of life we will be able to be a light for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

FUN FACTS ABOUT SHANE:

-Him & his wife Lindsay served as missionaries in the UK for over 10 years
-They have British citizenship
-They love Manchester United best football club in the world
-Their 4 boys spent most of their child hood in the UK and used to have British accents but the Texans changed that
-He had the privilege of first visiting Ireland when he was 17 on a high school trip his grandparents paid for him to go on

“My heart for this trip is that we’d have a mindset that glorifies the Kingdom. That God would even now start moving in the hearts of the people we will encounter. And that through it all, that our actions would be a testament of God’s love for the world”

SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT ABS:
-she’s the missions and college outreach intern
-Abbie’s been to 4 out of 7 continents
-she has 3 little sisters who are all taller than her
-her favorite food is cream of wheat (yes the mushy cardboard cereal you feed people without teeth)
-And ons of her dreams is to go to Thailand to see the Lantern Festival Yi Peng and have her Rapunzel moment 🌞
