Day 1

30 pathfinders and staff met at the Youth Center at 8 am Sunday to load personal belongings, say good bye to family, and loaded the bus for the first days destination: Florence, MT. All settled into a quiet routine of sleeping, reading, and various games. Various stops along the way included a much loved Taco Bell lunch break where all enjoyed stretching their legs and a good burrito.

The chuck wagon began close behind the bus, but was quickly stopped at Wallula Junction with the first chuck wagon tire blow out and wire wrapped around the axel. Wire cutters and the one spare tire sent Micheal and Susan further down the road…until Spokane and a second flat tire on the chuck wagon.

Today Micheal has replaced the remaining worn tires and plan to meet the rest of the club by lunchtime.

Day 1 is complete with all safe and happy. Pray Gods blessing as we continue to Gillette
