Volunteers must arrive early for training, then will serve by handing out child sponsorship packets for World Vision during intermission and after the concert. As a thank you, you'll be given free admission to enjoy the concert in the standing room section or an available seat in your area. Faith in Action: A Recap of the 2026 Health Fair

To our wonderful church family and volunteers,
We serve a God who cares deeply for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Last week, that care was on full display as we hosted our 2026 Health Fair in partnership with Hollywood Elementary School. It was a beautiful evening of connection, where the walls between the church and the community felt thin, and the love of God felt tangible.

We were honored to welcome approximately 80-90 adults from Hollywood Elementary and the surrounding community. Throughout the evening, families moved through four sessions designed to nourish every part of their lives:

Finding Stillness: In our Mental Health session, the College Park Youth and Family department guided families through meditation, teaching us all how to calm our nervous systems and find peace amidst the stresses of daily life.

Nourishing the Family: The LindaBen Foundation not only shared delicious, healthy meals but also provided practical, affordable tips for families to bring that wellness back to their own dinner tables.

Joyful Movement: There was so much energy in the room as Coaching Holistica led a vibrant Zumba class. It was a joy to see parents and children alike sweating, laughing, and celebrating the gift of health.

A Bridge to Support: Our Community Resources Hall was a hub of activity with 13 different partners. From cancer and blood pressure screenings by George Washington Cancer Center and Elaine Ellis Center to legal aid and garden education, we aimed to bridge the gap between our neighbors and the vital services they deserve.

The atmosphere was truly special. Whether it was the sight of a family quietly engaged in meditation, the lively chatter over a healthy meal, or the poignant moments where neighbors stopped to pray with Pastor Danny, the evening was a testament to what happens when we show up for one another.

Living Water participated by providing dinner to 20 volunteers, 14 vendors, and almost 50 kids. We concluded the night by distributing 100 boxes of fresh food provided by the Capital Area Food Bank, ensuring that the support extended well beyond the doors of the school.

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who served. It is a profound privilege to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in Hollywood Elementary. We pray that every family who attended walked away feeling seen, supported, and deeply blessed.

Join us for our MOVIE & GAMES NIGHT, SATURDAY APRIL 11 @ 7PM in the Fellowship Hall downstairs of the Hope Lutheran Church. Our 100"+ screen will be playing the Angel Studios blockbuster animated family film from 2025, DAVID (rated PG). No matter how young or how old, it's a movie the whole family can enjoy.

And for those interested in a little friendly competition, we'll have tables setup in the back of the room for you to bring your favorite board and card games to play. Just remember to keep one eye on the movie and one eye on your opponent!

Calling all men! We're excited to announce the long-awaited launch of Living Water's new MEN'S MINISTRY! Join us after worship service on SATURDAY, APRIL 11 for a kickoff and informational session in the Student Lounge room. ALL MEN ARE INVITED regardless of church membership or faith. This is a place for the curious as well as the committed. For those who are faith-filled as well as those whose faith is falling. Discover the rhythms of FAITH, FELLOWSHIP & BROTHERHOOD that unite us all, regardless of the stresses and seasons of life we each find ourselves in. Learn how we'll use studies, service and socials to grow into the men of God He always designed for us to be!
