WOW, September at NRV is going to be a TON of FUN! Take a look at the month ahead, and please see the flyers below for more details!

First, we look forward to seeing our 2nd year confirmation students, all incoming first year confirmation students, and their parents for our Confirmation Meeting on Wednesday, September 9th at 6pm. Regular confirmation classes will begin on September 16th from 4:30-5:30pm. Please let us know ASAP if you have an incoming student so that we can make sure to have all their materials ordered and ready!

Then, we invite all NRV kids, VBS friends, and their families to march with us in the Firefighters' Parade on September 12th! Please see details below!

The Adventures of Paul Rally Day and the Blessing of the Backpacks worship service will both be on September 13th! We'll have an epic adventure of our own during Sunday school, and after church we'll head outside for a MEGA water balloon fight! Hope to see you there!

On September 20th, we will celebrate our 125th year of ministry! We will have coffee, cake, and fellowship at 9am, a big group photo at 9:45am, a very special worship service planned with lots of history and special music at 10am, followed by our annual Charcoal Chicken Dinner from 11am-2pm. Please come out and help us celebrate 125 years in the valley! We would LOVE to see you!

A big thanks to our amazing IMPACT! crew (plus Kambrie who arrived after the photo) who kept kids of all ages entertained today at the Colfax Senior Living Back to School Fair! And thank you to everyone who came and played with us! We had so much fun, and we're wishing all the kids a school year filled with God's many blessings!

Our youth group and summer hikers finished summer with a bang today! First we went to Fairfax Pool for 3 hours of swimming, pizza, and freezies, and then we traveled to Carson Park for our final church hike of the summer. We talked about using "freshwater words of God" that refresh others, not salty words that leave us depleted and with a bad taste in our mouth. We also learned that even in impossible situations, God is on our side, so we should never give up. God is bigger than all our problems! Then we spent 2 hours playing on the playground and eating snacks before finishing up with ice cream on the way home.

Words cannot express how truly special these kids are and how blessed we are to have them in our church and community. Today I watched as they helped each other conquer fears, included strangers in their play, and helped other kids on the playground and at the pool repeatedly and without a second thought. They made new friends wherever they went and became the kids that other kids gravitated towards just because they are so kind and inclusive. It was a privilege to watch. They are great leaders and truly understand what it means to follow Jesus. 💜 Great job, kids! You make my heart full!

We have a TON of fun planned for this Thursday, August 13th! All IMPACT! members, our Let's Explore Church hikers, and their families are welcome to join us on BOTH our Fairfax Pool field trip from 1-4pm AND our final hike of the summer at Carson park from 4-7pm! We'll begin our time at Fairfax pool at 1pm (let me know if you need a ride, otherwise plan to meet us there!). We'll swim, eat pizza and freezies, and then hop in our cars to head to Carson park for a Let's Explore Church hike (and more playtime)! Please let me know asap if you and your kiddos can come so that I know how much food to buy and how to plan (I can get us into the pool for a deep discount if I know how many are coming beforehand🙂). Thank you!
