Our sermon today comes from Numbers 11:24-30 and John 20:19-23. We are looking at the Spirit of God, the guidance we are given, and the fact that if the Spirit is being poured out on you, you cannot run from it. You can ignore it, as so many do. You can sidestep it. You can give lip service to it but not be in it. But God's plans still occur, with or without you. God's kingdom is still coming, with or without you. Blessings.

Today's sermon comes from Acts 1:1-11 and John 17:1-11. To many times we do not realize how important the ascension of Christ to Heaven was. Truly, it was the first step to Jesus coming back! What a glorious day that will be. But don't take your walk for granted. We all must do the hard stuff. We all must carry that word. Don't just stand there, follow where Jesus Christ has led us.

Today's sermon is based around Proverbs 23:22-25 and Acts 9:36-43. We are talking about mothers and unconditional love. About God and how as children, we see the embodiment of that unconditional love through our mother's love for us. And about how we should be honoring them, allowing them to feel joy in the children that they have raised, and ultimately thanking them. If you have a mother in Heaven, be thankful and allow your heart to be filled with joy for who and what they were. If you have a mother that is still on earth with us, tell her thank you and let her heart be filled with joy in who she has raised. They deserve that from us.

Today's sermon comes from Acts 7:55-60 and John 14:1-14. We see through the faithfulness, the very first martyr to Jesus Christ's gospel. The first person to die of persecution. And we know that he died because he dared to call the Sanhedrin out for their hypocrisy. For killing the messiah, and historically for killing all of the prophets that ever spoke of the Righteous One. The vision that Stephen saw at the end is awe-inspiring. But equally so, the foundation that he built his faith upon. We all should endeavor to gain and build that kind of faith. Paying attention to what is going on, to those that even with Jesus had their doubts, we learn how to bolster that faith and grow in Christ's ways.

Today's sermon is drawn from Deuteronomy 18:17-19 and Luke 24:13-35. The second reading is long and about the walk to Emmaus, but it is worthwhile to remember all the details about this trip. It is worthwhile to remember that even in our down, even in our troubled times, and even in questioning times, Jesus still walks beside us. Ready to teach, understand and love. Ready to share with us all that is going on. Ready to insure that we receive our Inheritance from Him. What a blessing that thought is to our souls. Blessings.

Today's sermon is based on the scriptures from Act 2:14, 22-36 and John 20:19-31. We are looking at where our level of worship is when relating to the Easter story. We are also looking at asking questions. Both of ourselves and of Jesus. I hope all realize that asking questions is our nature. God gave us a heart of curiosity. If we don't ask questions, if we don't wonder, if we are not curious, we are much more likely to be fooled and taken advantage of by the enemy. Where are you at today? What are we doing today? Where and how does Christ stand in our lives every single day? Blessings.

Today's sermon is based loosely on 1st Chronicles 16:23-24 and Luke 24:1-12. It was a shortened sermon as we did our Easter Cantata. But the point is not just the empty tomb, but that we must strive to always be moving towards Jesus Christ. We should run, but sometimes the best we can do is a walk. Forward progress is the call of the day. Enjoy. -Pastor Jim
