Coleman Wesleyan Church

Coleman Wesleyan Church Love God - Love People - Live Sent We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct.

Wesleyans believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life. We believe that those who are made new in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord's Spirit. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ. We believe tha

t the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.

✨"Those who KNOW Your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You." — Psalm 9:10✨

Who is God to you? What does God mean to you?
What is God's nature, character, etc...?

The same God who provided, healed, delivered, and protected all throughout Scripture is still working today. But how many of us truly know the Names of God or even studied them out? Let's take a quick look at the names of God:

🔸JEHOVAH JIREH -- "The Lord will provide" ... God is the One who sees the need and makes provision before the need is even fully known.
Truth---God is your provider spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially.

🔸JEHOVAH RAPHA -- "The Lord who heals" ... God reveals Himself as our healer.
Truth---God not only heals bodies, but also hearts, minds, relationships and broken lives.

🔸JEHOVAH NISSI -- "The Lord is my banner" ... Moses built an altar after Israel's victory over Amalek.
Truth---God is your victory. The battle belongs to Him.

🔸JEHOVAH SHALOM -- "The Lord is peace" ... God reveals Himself in times of fear and oppression.
Truth---God's peace isn't the absence of trouble, it's His presence in the middle of it.

🔸JEHOVAH TSIDKENU -- "The Lord our righteousness" ... A prophetic name that points to the righteousness that comes from God, ultimately fulfilled thru Christ.
Truth---We don't earn righteousness. We receive it from God.

🔸JEHOVAH ROHI (RAAH) -- "The Lord is my shepherd" ... The Shepherd who guides, protects and provides for His sheep.
Truth---God knows where you are, where you're going and how to get you there.

🔸JEHOVAH SHAMMAH -- "The Lord is there" ... Promise God would dwell among His people.
Truth--- No matter where you are, God has not abandoned you.

🔸JEHOVAH SABAOTH --"The Lord of hosts" ... The commander of heavens armies.
Truth---The God who fights for you has resources beyond what you can see.

🔸EL SHADDAI -- "God Almighty" ... The all sufficient and all powerful God.
Truth--- Nothing is too difficult for God.

🔸EL ELYON --"The Most High God" ... The God who reigns supreme over every power and authority.
Truth---No situation in your life is above the authority of God.

🔸 ADONAI -- "Lord or Master" ... Name that acknowledges God's authority and lordship.
Truth---He is not only Savior but Lord.

🔸IMMANUEL --" God with us" ... Fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Truth---God didn't stay distant, He came near.

This is just a few of the names of God. Every name of God reveals a different aspect of His character. The beautiful truth is that God just doesn't have these characters and qualities...He IS these characters and qualities. His names reveal His nature and His nature never changes. He IS...I AM..!

What are you needing from God today? And which name of God are you holding onto during this season? 🙌

🌟“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” — Psalm 133:1🌟

There’s something special about gathering together in God’s presence. Church is so much better when we are all gathered together in one accord.

✨ LET'S PRAY TOGETHER ✨

This prayer is designed to help you confidently declare God's favor and protection over your day. It will empower you to stand strong in your faith and command your day according to God's Word.

Father, I come before you today acknowledging that You are the source of my strength and my shield. I decree and declare that Your presence goes before me, and I am covered by Your grace. I declare that my mind is sharp, my steps are ordered, and everything that I put my hands to will prosper. I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I take authority over every obstacle, delay, and distraction, and command it to be removed in the mighty name of Jesus! I decree divine health and wholeness over my spirit, soul, and body. I declare that I am more than a conqueror, and I walk in the confidence that You are with me in every battle and every victory. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind all throughout my days. I Thank you Father for hearing me and I give you all the praise and all the glory, in Jesus’ Name... Amen!!

How many of you know that God uses everything in your life to train you up, even if you are running from God? Not one single moment is wasted.

When David went to fight Goliath, Saul tried to fit David in his armor but it was too large. David took off Saul's armor and picked up the weapons that were familiar to him. What are the weapons that God has given you? We've all been given the weapons of warfare and the perfect armor of God to put on every day....the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, sandals of peace, shield of faith and the sword of truth. We've all been given that! But do we walk in that armor? We can never fit the armor of another person because Jesus custom fit YOU!

Now in 1 Samuel 17:45-47, David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hand.”

Notice how David was prophesying. What do you do before you go out for God? You sit with Him and then go forth and announce what God is going to do, then you follow what God is doing every step of the way. David believed God and said, all those who are gathered here will know it is not by sword or spear that saves but the battle is the Lord's!

Say this...the battle is the Lord's!!

Look at this...David was fighting God's enemy not his personal enemies. How much time to you and I spend fighting our personal enemies? Instead, we should be focused on who the enemy of God is. When you start taking care of God's business, God will take care of your business. David sat ministering to God in the fields as he watched the sheep. David knew in his heart that God would fight his battles.

Deuteronomy 3:22 says "You shall not fear them, for it is the Lord your God who fights for you." No matter what state your life, family or business is in God fights your battles. He is the deliverer!!

Psalm 44:3 says "for not by their own sword did they win the land, nor did their own arm save them, but your right hand and your arm, and the light of your face, for you delighted in them."

Lastly, the enemy wants to silence your voice and to be distracted by all these little battles going on around you so you won't think about what's coming up against the name of the Lord. When we are obedient to what what the Lord is asking us to do for Him, He will fight for us and give us the victory! Yay God!!! 🙌🙌

🇺🇸🌟 'Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.' (John 15:13).🌟🇺🇸

Today we honor those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
In the same spirit of deep, sacrificial love, we are reminded of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for our salvation. Father, we ask that You bring peace and comfort for the families of the fallen today.🙏

✨TODAY'S PENTECOST SUNDAY✨

WHAT WAS PENTECOST? Pentecost was the second great festival of the Jewish year. It was a harvest festival when the first fruit grain harvest were present to God. What it represents for the Church is the beginning of God's harvest for souls in the world.

WHAT WAS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE FILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AT PENTECOST?
🔹It meant the beginning of the fulfillment of God's promise in Joel 2:28-29 to pour out his Spirit on all people in the end times.

In Acts 2, it says "that when the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw to guess of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." (v.1-4)

Today, we are living in the time between the book of Acts and Revelation. Many Christians still have trouble understanding the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church and each believer. Why is that? Sadly, it is because some Churches don't teach on who Holy Spirit is or it is shut down by certain leaders. I believe it is time to see our lost inheritance fully restored and fully active in the life of every Christian.

Peter's sermon explains the coming of the Spirit in Acts 2:14-40 and it also contains a pattern for the proclamation of the gospel. Jesus is both Lord and Christ -- crucified, resurrected and exalted, who now sits at the right hand Father where He received the authority to pour out the Holy Spirit on all believers.

As believers, we must place our faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, by the repentance of sins and we shall receive the Holy Spirit(v. 38) What a great promise!! It's for you, your children and all who are far off...for all whom the Lord our God will call (v.39) But we must separate ourselves from the world and save ourselves from this corrupt generation(v.40). Peter warned and pleaded with them, and those who accepted the message were baptized and 3000 was added to their number that day.(v.41) How awesome is that!?!

Jesus always spoke of those who have ears let them hear. The believers who heard Peter's message devoted themselves to the apostles teachings, fellowship, breaking of the bread and prayer(v 42). They were in awe of the signs and wonders that was being done by the apostles (v.43) All the believers were together..in unity...and had everything in common.(v.44) How much unity do we see in the Churches today?? 😞

ARE YOU MARKED BY GOD'S POWER AND AUTHORITY?
Unfortunately, many Christians just casually observe the promises in the Bible instead of taking them literally. These promises are not just words on paper, they are truths that are activated by Holy Spirit! The Holy Spirit allows us to demonstrate the miraculous works with boldness just like Jesus did. When Jesus went up to heaven, He made so much available to us as the body of Christ, but we have settled for so much less. It's time to restore the authority Jesus gave to the body of Christ ... to operate fully in our God-given identity ... to heal the sick, cast out demons and boldly preach the gospel.

The Harvest is ready...are you?
