➡ What is Jesus saying it means to be a part of God’s family? Are there any areas in your life where you know you aren’t “doing the will of God”? How is Jesus gracefully inviting you to live a more satisfied life by “doing His will” as expressed in the Bible?

➡ Jesus picked 12 guys out of a bunch of followers to send out to preach and heal. And the amazing thing is, they were the “unlikelies”! How is He sending you out to do the same?

➡ Why do you think Jesus commanded the demons to not reveal who He was (3:12) even though what they said was true?
➡ This passage displays God’s “sovereignty” (He has a powerful plan and is in control). Do you believe that God has a plan for your life? Even though it may not be in your timing right now, how do you see Him growing you even if He is saying, “Not yet”?

➡ God gives us laws in the Old Testament about the Sabbath (a day set aside for no work to honor God). God even modeled this when He rested on the seventh day after creating the world. (This is why we meet for church on Sundays.) The religious leaders in Jesus’ day were legalistic about a lot of God’s laws. Based on the passages you just read, what does that mean?
➡ Think about your schedule. How busy are you? How might God be nudging you to build some margin in your schedule to rest and be with Him more?
