Back to School Bash today, Aug. 1st, from 2–6 PM at the Independence Community Development Center.

Everyone is invited so bring the whole family. There will be water slides, kickball, food, and lots of fun!

Remember the points from Brother Wayne’s sermon that I listed about how God still speaks?

* Through His Word
* Through His people
* Through circumstances
* Through prayer

This week at camp, our very own Ahmed shared his testimony, and it beautifully showed all four of those points at work in his life.

Med shared- I was born in Kirkuk, Iraq, where converting to Christianity can cost you your life. When I was five years old, my family moved to the United States. We lived in Washington, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and finally settled in Mississippi.
When I was 15, I always wanted to hang out with by best friend who’s dad was a pastor, so I started going to church with their family every Sunday and Wednesday. At 16, I gave my life to Christ.
Looking back, I can clearly see that God was speaking all along.
He spoke through HIS WORD taught by HIS PEOPLE(my best friends dad) through CIRCUMSTANCES (having a Christian friend with a pastor dad) and last but not least through prayer that sustained my new and growing faith.
