COLD SPRING PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ANNOUNCES A SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER
Dan Wenker, the brother of Pastor Dave Wenker, will be speaking at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, August 16 at the 10:30 am worship service. Dan will be sharing the story of the lessons God taught him from his near death experience. While hiking down from the Grand Teton in Wyoming, Dan slid into an ice mote next to a raging waterfall and dropped sixty feet, landing on a small three-foot ledge. In the pitch black, he heard God tell him this was not his day to die. The miraculous rescue changed his perspective on life and taught him about gratitude, trusting God’s plan and the importance of living a “What If” life. His story will inspire and encourage people to find the wonder of life in each day.
Dan is an author, speaker, outdoor enthusiast, avid mountaineer, and former REI outdoor experiences guide. He has summitted numerous mountains including Mount Rainier, Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Witney, Mount Hood and Mount St Helens. After graduating from Pennsylvania State University in Agri-Business Managment he enjoyed a career in the food service industry.
